The staff were wonderful & they accommodated our family very well. Notably we wanted Sri Lankan dishes not offered on the menu and they gladly catered for this.

The swimming pool is the best thing about this place as it's very well maintained. You can also order drinks or food and enjoy them poolside. Our bed was big and comfortable, we slept well. The owner is nice and helpful. Food was not outstanding but still good.

This is a real gem of a place and our 4 night stay here was a highlight of our trip so far. The hosts are some of the most welcoming, kind and generous people we have ever met, and we learnt so much from them about Sri Lanka, its flora and fauna, history and cuisine. If you’re looking for an authentic homestay in a beautiful green area, full of birds and other wildlife, you’ll love it here!
Our room was spacious and spotless, and the ceiling fan cooled us sufficiently at night. The host took us on night time walks to look for wildlife and also showed us around the village, including his family’s vegetable patch and rice fields. We also cooked a number of dishes with the hosts in their beautiful garden which was an experience we will never forget. It was like cooking with family members and we’ll definitely recreate the recipes and techniques we learnt once home. The hosts also arranged for us an amazing safari to Kaudulla National Park with an experienced driver who had vast knowledge of birds and other animals. They also rented us high quality bikes to explore the ancient city which is just around the corner.
The host’s wife is an incredible cook and every dinner time was a true feast. As vegetarians, we really appreciated the variety of vegetable curries, including some very unusual fruit ones! Each breakfast set us up really well for the day and, above all, all meals were healthy and made from high quality, fresh ingredients.

Loved the views from our room, it was so peaceful looking out and having comfortable chairs to relax on. Nilu the owner was so nice, she really looked after us and made us a delicious dinner, then breakfast. Ellie her dog was so cute and loved hanging around seeing what we were up to. Our driver was accommodated too with a lovely room and he was able to eat with Nilu and her family.

we recommend everyone this place The house is inside a very beautiful garden, the family that runs it is very kind and nice, we especially recommend dinner and breakfast, they were very good and you can appreciate the true flavors of traditional cuisine. Also the owner has a jeep to visit the nearby parks.
