It’s just a beautiful little oasis in the middle of the jungle, the staff and food were incredible and it looks just like the photos. Every little detail was so carefully thought out and all the finishes were perfect. We loved the curd & co for our breakfast, the passion fruit soda (yum!), the Sri Lankan curry and the wine choice! The room was stunning, a massive comfy bed with duvet, a tv with Netflix, a stunning balcony with views of the pool and the jungle around you. The bathroom was gorgeous too, you can see the jungle as you showered! We stayed in one of the seaview suites. Just a really lovely, honest, chilled vibe, probably the most beautify please we have ever stayed, we miss it already!

I have never met a nicer person than the host. Everything in the house is fine new, including the kitchen, air conditioning, and attached bath. The view from upstairs is spectacular. We had the entire villa for our stay. Then no one would have to disrupt our stay. that we wanted to stay. very quiet place. love it.

It's a nice place with friendly people. They do their best to give you a comfy and home feeling. I'm the second guest, so they are still in the try-out period. And they do it well! The owner brought me to a place for the breakfast and he brought me to the busstation. It's allowed to use the kitchen. Enough equipement. A good big bed. Everywhere it is super clean! The vieuw from the house is great, ocean vieuw. Its a short walk to 2 beaches, 1 even in a few minutes. Short walk to the lighthouse, to the harbor and just 1 kilometre to the center with a beautiful temple. The owner's friend (Priyankara) will assist you after booking immediately. Had a great 2 night stay here. The property is very nice and only a 5 minute walk to the beach. The rooms are also comfortable, and meals are served in a nice little interior living space. It's all very cozy. The hosts are also kind & helpful, and they prepared some delicious meals for us. We would come back here if we ever return to peaceful little Talalla :)

Best stay we had in sri lanka (or maybe ever on holidays)! Kindest family and Dilanga is a perfect host. Great sri lankan breakfast, lunch and dinners (and fresh juices) available, you will have the cute and calm beach in front of the garden to yourself during the weekend, perfect for kids, in the weekend friendly locals join. The rooms are clean and cool down during the night. We could even take warm showers with a view on the lighthouse. Location is perfect to visit everything in the area without having to stay in mass tourism. Dilanga also arranged a visit at the national cinnamon research center, very high recommend. Our stay was perfect! We would advise everyone who likes to go just off the beaten path not to miss out on this genuine experience. (We stayed here for 6 nights (to short!) with 2 kids, 2,5y and 0,5y, and we all had the best time, by the time we left home it felt like leaving our new gained family behind)

Upon arrival at Talalla Wonder View I was met by Darshani, the utterly adorable young woman who runs the establishment. Wonder View is a small, safe, family run establishment (just 2 rooms) that overlooks the beautiful crescent-shaped white sand beach. It is at the extreme southern end of the beach which is a lovely area. Wonder View has several thatched cabanas with comfy padded lounge chairs right on the beach where you can easily spend an afternoon or two or three. My room was small and basic but with everything I needed including an excellent mosquito net, fan, comfortable bed and an outlet to charge electronics. Between the fan and the slightly cooler nights, I slept well. The water pressure in the bathroom tended to ebb and flow but was fine for showering. There is no hot water if that is important to you, but you don’t really need it and personally I found the cool water refreshing. The rooms share a spacious terrace that overlooks the beach and it’s another great place to relax. Just don’t don’t leave any snacks unattended because there are monkeys that will pinch your food in a hot second! Breakfast, which was included, was provided at the family’s Tree Top restaurant next door. You will be served a substantial Sri Lankan-western meal that you can enjoy with a pot of tea or coffee while gazing out at the beach. Sweet! There are also other restaurants nearby for drinks and meals. Worth noting: the path to the beach and the steps up to the Tree Top Restaurant might be challenging for someone with mobility issues. A handrail on the path would help keep everyone safe. For the price, view, delightful host and beach access, Talalla Wonder View is fantastic value!
