The super friendly and very communicative owner gave good tips for hiking and showed us a nice waterfall nearby. Our highlight was that he organized a night-out in the village, showing us around the rice fields and the temple and serving us amazing local food in the village in the traditional way. This place is a very comfortable stay for the price !! The owner greeted me upon entry, giving me advice for travel and offering lots of help. The room was comfortable and had an ac unit, the hotel is only 10 minutes walk from the town and the owner offered me tuk tuks to get me to and from as well as his number if anything were to happen. I absolutely loved the view from the terrace and the location. It’s away from the main road and not noisy. The house is so cozy and Pearlie and Rajan are so great people. I really enjoyed their company and those delicious meals they cooked. They treated me with so many tasty Sri Lankan curries. I loved everything. And sweats also. And they adjusted to my food preferences. Being vegetarian, not eating garlic, onion and chilly in Sri Lanka can be quite hard, almost every meal has smth I don’t eat. But they cooked for me the most delicious pure veg and sattvic food. I absolutely loved my stay there. And was kinda a bit sad yo leave.
