The hosts at Shan Mango Homestay (Shoolini & her husband) were exceptional hosts! We were arriving very early in the day and when I told them about it, they allowed us to check in early in the morning and did not allow someone else to book the previous night (just so that they can have the rooms ready for us). They were willing to forgo an extra night's rent! While there, we were treated to delicious breakfast & dinner (they made vegetarian dishes for us). They have beautiful mango & passion-fruit trees. They gave us plenty of both to eat and take home with us. They also have a cute, little pool but we couldn't use it because it was raining most of the time we were there in Sigiriya The rooms and bathrooms were clean and we got plenty of hot water. The only small negative was that the pressure in the health-faucet & wash basin were a little low. We told them about it and they said they will look into it Overall, highly recommended!

Very nice place in the middle of nature. Lots of birds and animals to see. The staff were very attentive and breakfast was delicious every morning. Would highly recommend. Owner the manager cares greatly about the business and works very hard to create the perfect experience for his guests.

Everything! The pool was great, the bed comfortable, food delicious, bird and monkey watching from the tree house terrace amazing and the hosts treated us like family. They even accommodated our driver. After four nights we were sad to leave.

We are go with the owner walking around the village. this village is the most beautiful village and the lake is like a swimming pool we swimming with the owner for 02 hours.
