We had an incredibly relaxing 4-night stay at Bay Villas on the last leg of our honeymoon trip. The location is absolutely stunning with a perfectly secluded sea view looking west which made for some breathtaking sunsets. The whole villa was beautifully furnished with more than enough space for the two of us.
The Bay Villas team who looked after us during our stay were amazing, very welcoming and always on hand for us. They also helped us plan some excursions to do a river safari and to visit the turtle sanctuary.
The best part however was the magnificent food! We’ve eaten some truly incredible Sri Lankan food during our two weeks in Sri Lanka, but the food at Bay Villas managed to top it all! Every single meal got a wow from us, and from such a variety of Sri Lankan dishes. They’d always check in with us for what they planned to cook for the next meal and ensured they catered to our dietaries and tastes.

Amazing! We had several hotels, apartments in Sri Lanka but this was the best. We felt great there the location is amazing, right on the beutiful beach. There were some waves but you can swim or you can use a nice pool as well. The staff was so kind and helpful. The breakfast was great they brought a table for us and we had it in front of our room in the garden while listening the sounds of the ocean. There were shops, pharmacy, restaurants nearby. Looking forward to be there next time.

The whole hotel is gorgeous. The beach is perfect for swimming, very clean with gorgeous views and is so private (not packed with hundreds of other tourists). You can walk to the rocks on the corner for great snorkeling and to explore the huge other beach on the other side. In the evening (5pm) all the local fishermen turn up to take their boats out as the sun sets and its like a free show every day as the boats are beautiful and the locals are all very friendly. The rooms are all huge with private garden seating areas with overhead fans and your own coffee machine. The food and drinks were all very reasonably priced and often enjoyed having a beer brought to me on the beach as the sun set. The staff were all so lovely and friendly and attentive, even showing me monkeys that had come to visit the hotel one day. Loads of wildlife to see at the hotel to keep you entertained and the food was all delicious. Took a tuk tuk from the hotel one day down to Hikkaduwa Turtle Beach to go Scuba Diving (about 20-30 mins drive with great views along the way). The busy beach there made me grateful to return to the hotels quiet one. A private piece of paradise

Felt at home straight away. Dinitha, the manager, couldn’t have been more accommodating. The food, cooked by Neel, was wonderful, fresh and tasty. Nothing was too much trouble. The pool was nice and only a short walk to a beautiful beach. Some of the neighbours were a little annoying for a solo traveller but I felt very safe and cared for by Dinitha and Kevin.
As families grow in size, so too do the needs of a family holiday. That’s why family hotels are set up to cater for all ages, from toddlers and kids to teens and adults. Typically, you can expect restaurants with kids’ menus, games rooms, fitness centres and a pool area where children can play and parents can relax.
Fabulous beach hotel. The staff were attentive and always happy to cater to our needs. The room was clean, comfortable and perfect view. The food was delicious and flavourful. The grounds are neatly kept. During our stay, there were many other couples enjoying their stay, in a comfortable quiet and relaxing atmosphere. No kids to be seen which made it even more wonderful to unwind. We will be back.
The homestay is located in a calm area with the beach in walking distance. It is a perfect spot to relax and the host family made me feel like home immediately! They are incredibly kind and carry a really warm energy with them. Moreover the food was super delicious and the room spacious and clean. All in all I can only recommend a stay in sweet pea😊
The family is friendly and helpful. The place is quiet, surrounded by a garden, birds are singing. Breakfast is the usual omelette, toast and fruit. The rooms have a comfortable bed.The room was simple, okay.
The family we stayed with were extremely friendly, accommodating and helpful. The rooms were clean. My wife and I celebrated our wedding anniversary whilst we stayed and the family surprised us with a cake and a card. We really became part of the family and will definitely be back again.
Pool and beach amazing. It felt like we had the beach and pool basically to ourselves with our toddler. Brilliantly family friendly and kind staff. Good food and lovely breakfast. Arranged great boat safari for us picked up straight from beach in front of hotel. Calm sea which was great for swimming, even with our toddler! very comfy bed too and beautiful cot provided.
Also v quick to sort out our change in dates due to flight delay and price confusion too which was really appreciated.
