We stay only 4 pax then It's so big for us. It's have 3 bedrooms. In 3rd floor, 1st bedroom is 2 double beds inside 2nd bedroom is 1 double bed. 2nd floor have 3rd bedroom next to kitchen, washing machine and toilet and shower room. Location is not far from bus station and train. Around here have many restaurants but it's close very fast. Have 7-11 near here.

RoHen Hakone is absolutely beautiful! It feels like a luxury hotel, with stylish modern-traditional fusion decor and a very clean cozy vibe. The breakfast buffet in the morning was so delicious and at no extra cost! The staff were so helpful and friendly, thank you for all your hard work :-) It's close to a bus stop, with good sound-proofing, clean showers and bathrooms, comfortable common room areas and beds, helpful staff and great food! Was defintiely my favourite place I stayed in Japan! The area around is so beautiful as well with a river, onsens and maple trees! Just lovely, highly reccommend.

The japanese garden is big and nice and very relaxing. There are also fishes. Rooms are big. We had a view on the Japanese garden. Be aware there are those fountoun bed ánd not real beds. It was possible to put a spare fountoun under it to make it a little softer. Staff is very nice and helpful. The onson pool are great. There is an inside and a view outside ones. The outside area is really lovely and calming. The location is also good, short walk to train station and busy street but still very quite.

What a surreal ryokan, literally straight out of a Japanese anime movie. The building is 100 years old and the beams are joined together without using a single nail. Some renovation works going on during my stay but it was unobtrusive. Whole house is a bit quiet and eerie at night but that just adds to the surreal surroundings of the ryokan. Some of the staff are really old, befitting a 100-year-old ryokan like this one. I booked a 'Japanese-Style Superior Room with Private Onsen and Mountain View' but it turned out to be a 2-room suite with an attached onsen bathroom on a lower level. Never experienced anything like it. Food is very traditional and authentic which I got to enjoy in the privacy of my room. Perfect place to stay if you're into the real deal of a traditional onsen ryokan. If not, maybe a modern ryokan would be more to your taste.

Situated atop a hill in Hakone, Gyokutei offers an authentic Japanese accommodation with an indoor hot spring bath. Hakoneyumoto Train Station is a leisurely 8-minute walk from the ryokan.
All rooms feature tatami (woven-straw) flooring and traditional futon bedding. Each are equipped with a flat-screen TV, a refrigerator and a private bathroom with a bath, shower and free toiletries. Extras include slippers, a hair dryer and yukata robes.
Switzerland
We loved everything in this ryokan, most especially the staff who made us feel that we have a home away from home. We stayed for two nights and wished we had booked a couple of nights more. I highly recommend this property and if we ever visit Japan again, we‘ll definitely come back. Thanks again, Gyokutei, for the memorable experience.
