Dinner and breakfast were both superb. The location, bang in the town centre and near the footpath up to the castle ruins, was perfect. It is so nice to find a historic building restored and used in this way! It was a real treat to stay there.

The hosts were welcoming, accommodating and hospitable. It's within easy walking distance of the train station, as well as the shops over the river.
The dinner and breakfast were huge! We loved having traditional Japanese meals. The experience felt very authentic and the host lady even dropped us at the starting point for the Takeda Castle hike, as well as at the train station when we checked out! We would love to return.

An absolutely wonderful experience. The staff were utterly fantastic! So much enthusiasm... happy and helpful. It was a very "Japanese" experience. Also the most incredible breakfast that I've ever had!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Fairfield by Marriot Hyogo Kannabe Highland. The room was meticulously clean and quite spacious too. We liked how they are tucked away from the cities so that we get to enjoy local sites and eateries. We especially enjoyed fresh bread from Pain de A in the morning.

True to pictures, our stay at Shigura Wood Villa for a group of 4 adults and an infant was unparalleled! Naoto-san received us upon arrival to walk us through the facilities/ house rules and, was extremely prompt with his responses and assistance via the booking platform's chat function (prior to and during the trip). The villa was also spotless and contained professional kitchen equipment which motivated us to home-cook our meals! Even rain couldn't dampen our moods as the villa's interior was so lovely. We're truly grateful for the kind hospitality as first international guests of the villa and look forward to visiting again!
