The staff was exceptionally professional and friendly. The room was cozy and offered a beautiful view. The dinner was delicious and beautifully presented and portions were generous. The hotel did not forget the two dishes we added when we booked the hotel. The added dishes of fried sea bream bones and the braised fish head were nicely prepared and were very good value for money. The quality of the dishes was superb. Most enjoyable and relaxing stay. I wish I had time for one more night! Must come back.

Breakfast was good. Service generally good. However most reception staff could not communicate in English whereas restaurant staff did better. Kudos to the part-time barista Cristina who not only could communicate well but conducted herself so well as a concierge in checking and making several arrangements for a side trip for us that the regular staff at reception were unable to do. She was personable, resourceful and went out of her way to support us. We expected this level of service from the hotel’s regular staff which was lacking.

Everything was just lovely. A beautiful room, with a great view of the surrounds, lovely dinner and breakfast, nice bath facilities. Its a great option in Tomonoura as it is in town rather than down the road, so everything is walkable. Shuttle service from Fukuyama station is very convenient. Staff were very helpful and their service was excellent.

Fukuyama Spa Resort is a 5-minute ride from Fukuyama Station on the free shuttle. It features 6 hot-spring baths, 2 saunas and rooms with free internet and a private bathroom.

I really enjoyed staying at this guesthouse it is super clean. The share space and the bed are really cosy (especilly the chairs for the share space ! ). N.B. : it would be great to add a small dustbin for the shower (it would be easier to throw away our hairs etc...)

Junko and Yuji have been excellent hosts and made my stay super welcome! The property is spacious & clean, and I had the entire upstairs to myself that includes a bedroom, separate living room, and private bathroom. They are very friendly and made sure I'm comfortable and well accommodated, and the stay includes a free pick-up/drop off service from the ferry across Onomichi JR station. I would also highly recommend the optional breakfast which was delicious with local fresh bread. I would highly recommend this for visitors riding the Shimanami Kaido. For me, I took the train to Onomichi JR in the afternoon, stayed overnight here and then was fresh & ready for my ride first thing in the morning. I would love to do the Kaido again in the reverse direction and this would be a perfect spot for the endpoint and I would definitely stay here again.

Kazu is a very helpful host. I had not done any shopping,he kindly offered to drive me to the store,instead of cycling through the rain.He also speaks english very well,wich is not thet usual in Japan.The house has a beautiful view of the sea.
