Absolutely my standout stay in Japan, a place I have both lived and travelled to more than a dozen times.
Besho Onsen Midoriya is a beautiful modern Ryokan with private hot spring baths set in the most tranquil of settings. I particularly loved the Kaiseki set course dinner and of course the provided breakfasts.
I will be back!

Very convenient location. Just next to JR Sakudaira station and next to car rental company. And near the giant outlets like GU, Cainz, etc… just drive n park infront of the store. We were looking for a holiday house in Ueda and found this one. The house with the open and airy feel was perfect for our family. It’s located a bit outside of central Ueda and sits within the surrounding hills, in the middle of fields and orchards. The views are amazing. The house itself is furnished and equipped with everything you need and a lot attention to detail. Kanae and Shin were super nice and very helpful and easily reachable.
