First of all Yuki was so nice to pick us up at the bus station, which was a great help because we had heavy luggage! Secondly the sharing space, garden and rooms are beautiful, to which we were happily surprised. But to our biggest amazement, Yuki gave us all the information we needed before going to the islands Teshima and Naoshima. And without her help the trip wouldn’t have been the same:)

It was a very special experience for us to live in Saiko and Brett's beautiful Japanese house. Saiko and Brett are very warm and lovable hosts, contact with them was always very quick and efficient. We were picked up from the bus stop when we arrived and taken to the train station when we left, which was of course extremely comfortable. The house is so lovingly decorated, with a great mix of old furnishings, modern furnishings and artistic design. The kitchen is very well equipped with extremely nice dishes, so we could cook and eat well. Everything was super clean and there were even dishtowels that, like the towels, were replaced. For our trip to Naoshima Island we were able to rent e-bikes from Brett and Saiko. It was nice that Brett showed us the other buildings on the property and told us about his plans for them. We very much hope that these plans can be realized!

Uno is a fantastic hotel. I would rate them 20/10 if I could. The hotel is new and modern. The staff are extremely friendly and welcoming. All lovely people! The facilities cater for everything you need. The food in the restaurant was exceptional. The breakfasts were impressive! And the hotel is right by the ferry to Naoshima. A 20 minute ferry ride. All in all Uno was perfect!

The location was excellent for ferry rides to Naoshima and Teshima islands. The owner of the hostel was nice however the work away and long term helpers were the ones whom I truly interacted with. They made me feel very welcomed and one even came on a little island trip to Teshima with me on her day off (im very socail not saying others would have this service). It was a great time with very nice people in the hostel as well.

Our hosts picked us up at the ferry on arrival and dropped us off at the train station on departure. We had planned to walk so this was much appreciated. The accommodation is in a beautiful old house and overlooks a peaceful inner courtyard garden. There was a Lawson a short walk away and a good restaurant 15 minutes walk away. Loved the pajamas!
