The atmosphere is traditional and, homely, with a cost free area where you can unwind with other guests and eat..with small lodgings for no hand than a handful of guests. The service was strong by western standards. The owner even drove me to the nearest convenience store when I made dinner enquiries and wanted directions to the nereast convenience store. Great ryokan in Hikone. Good value for money, nice spa, spacious tatami mat room. Non touristy area with many nearby restaurants. Very peaceful sleep and the owner drove us to the station the next morning. Thank you for a pleasant stay.

The location is outstanding. Next to the original Hikone castle. The people were extremely helpful and friendly. Nice free beer as part of stay and shuttle back to the train station. We didn’t have time to use the spa but looked nice. Always book the restaurant the day before you arrive.

The room was very beautiful & modern looking with lots of amenities. Staff was very friendly and showed us around the property and explained to us everything we needed to know.
The beautiful garden near the reception was freely accessible with a place for small fireworks.
