It was in a rural part of Japan and it was so peaceful. There was a whole bunch of kids from neighbouring houses that came over to play. It was lovely.

Lovely setting at the top of a little hill overlooking the town. Spacious and very comfortable room.
We had breakfast and a kaiseki dinner there. The dinner was beautifully presented with many novel dishes new to us . Very enjoyable!

Ikuya and Yuki were the perfect hosts. They were so kind and generous and lovely to chat to. The house is also amazing, very beautiful and a great mix of historic and modern. I would absolutely recommend staying here. It has been our favourite accommodations in Japan overall! Also, Mame the cat is very sweet and loves a cuddle!
