Guesthouse Tamura, hotel in Nikaidō

Renovating a Japanese-style private house with a 100-year history, Guesthouse Tamura offers an accommodation in Fushigazushi-cho, Nara.

The guesthouse was homey and comfortable. There is a communal table to eat dinner, breakfast etc rather than any lounging areas. I opted in for Junko's delicious breakfast and it was excellent. The house was located very near the Nara Hotel and Naramachi. It was atmospheric and away from the crowds.

Located in Nara and with Nara Station reachable within 800 metres, 奈良旅館別館 Sweet 螢 源 provides a garden, non-smoking rooms, free WiFi throughout the property and a restaurant.

The meal was inspirational and the chef was so kind and carefully explained all the dishes to my wife and I, even though we spoke no Japanese. The passion and love show in each dish. The room is hyper modern, I was blown away. The open air bath was blissful, and all the little touches like free snacks, beer, ramen etc The other staff were kind and helpful and brought my wife some items she needed ASAP.

Located in Nara, within 2.5 km of Nara Station and 20 km of Iwafune Shrine, The temple - Houjuji - offers accommodation with free WiFi, air conditioning, free bikes and a garden.

It's a temple ! With all commodities. Two houses to stay with garden view. Bicycle on site. Kitchen if needed. Spacious. Beautiful. In a temple. The door is impressive and nice to gaze at during the night. When you visit a temple it is always day so seen the colour changing on a gate like that is magical. Easy get in and out. Found a parking next to it.

NARAigoto EENA HOUSE, hotel in Nikaidō

Located in Nara, 20 km from Iwafune Shrine and 24 km from Higashiosaka Hanazono Rugby Stadium, NARAigoto EENA HOUSE offers a garden and air conditioning.

Hisae is an extremely warm, attentive and welcoming host. When we arrived, she welcomed us with a cup of tea, explained how the house worked and gave us several recommendations (restaurants, sake tasting, etc.). She was there for us at all times, with any questions, and made us feel very welcome. The house is a renovated machiya in the heart of Nara's old town. It really did feel like home. There's a bus stop just a 1-minute walk away, serving all the main points in town. Very useful for visiting Nara. We also took part in a Japanese calligraphy course with an instructor and Hisae, who guided us through each stage of the learning process. We had a magical time, which will remain engraved in our memory. We would definitely recommend staying at the NARAigoto EENA HOUSE and the activities on offer. Many thanks, Hisae!

Nara Top Sights 5 to 20 Min Walk, hotel in Nikaidō

A recently renovated apartment located in Nara, Nara Top Sights 5 to 20 Min Walk features a garden. The air-conditioned accommodation is 1.9 km from Nara Station.

The best stay ever! A very lovely house, everything in the house is carefully designed, and all the things you need are available. There is a small garden, but unfortunately it is too hot ouside, otherwise it would be very pleasant to have a tea in the garden. The two double beds in the bedroom are spacious enough to accommodate four people, and the tatami room can also accommodate two more. Finally, I'd like to say sorry to the landlord. When I checked in, I had trouble because I mis-input the entery code, which caused the landlord to send someone over to assist.
