Our stay at Yokikan was a pure delight!
The manager (5th generation !!) and its staff were so kind and helpful.
We loved the room located on the hill with a short ride in their self-operated cable car.
We didn’t book the dinner/breakfast (plan ahead!) but the staff made great recommendations in town.

The owner was so welcoming and friendly. He gave us many recommendations for places to eat/drink, and for specialty stores. The accomodation was spacious and very comfortable. Exactly like the photos. Loved the Onsen.

From the outside, you would not have expected the modern interior of the self contained appartment. The private onsen with 24/7 running spring water opens to the beautiful valley. Full kitchen and washing machine made the place like a home away from home. Beds were comfortable with separate A/C to rhat in the lounge area. We had a most relaxing time.

The staff were lovely esp as we do not speak Japanese they tried really hard to communicate. The meals were exceptional - delicious, light, full of flavour incorporating many local ingredients. Our room was traditional style and this was exactly the experience we wanted

Not cheap, but amazing place for people who want to experience traditional Japanese riyokan. The room is marvellous and the staff is very polite. Our guide was Mrs. Mika who was extremely helpful and polite. The localization is perfect - you can walk 5 minutes to Atami Beach, where you can sunbath. The breakfasts and dinners at Riyokan are really delicious. And one thing more - the gate of the Riyokan was used in Akira Kurosawa' s film Kagemusha. Greetings from Poland!
