I booked this hotel for my parents. When I asked questions by email, their staff reply very quick and kind. My parents were really happy about all the service they got, enjoyed the bath, dinner and breakfast. I booked ocean view room for them, they said the view was amazing from the room, and also they could even enjoy the night view from the dinner place. Seemed like all the staff there is very kind and friendly, they felt very warm inside and they had an amazing stay.

As I was by myself in a 10 tatami room it was absolutely amazing. The nicely separated private toilet and wash basin is also very beneficial. The bath, although shared within the ryokan, can be requested for time to yourself, which again for one person is absolutely massive. I had requested for dinner late on the check in day, and was accomondated for very helpingly. The food is a fantastic ~7 course Japanese feast for dinner, and 5-8 dishes for breakfast (depending on who you ask for what one dish is). The staff are extremely helpful with good English, and was more than accomondating with mw trying out my garbage Japanese skills. solid 10/10 would stay again next time I'm here.

We stayed as a family of four in a combination of western and japanese style room for one night and had the traditional japanese dinner and breakfast. The kids weren't keen on the japanese style dinner and breakfast, however that was my fault for not ordering the kids meal options. As adults, we found the food to be delicious and very well presented. The room was spacious and clean and the beds were very comfortable. The staff were amazing....they were very attentive and helpful. Highly recommend the Miyajima Grand Hotel.

Loved the meal - gave us such a good experience of many things. Brilliant cultural experience for our family and the kids were so nervous with the onsen, but loved it in the end.

Delicious Japanese dinner and breakfast however I would have liked to have been offered a kids meal for our three children at check in as the Japanese meal as too much for them. If you are going with children then I would pre-request a child's meal in advance (they did do this as I saw other people with it but it wasn't offered to us even though we there were 3 children on the booking).

We are a family with three teenage-kids from germany and had a great stay. Ellen and Yo made us feel like home. They picked us up from the station so we didn't had to walk with the luggage - the way to the house is not far but a bit hilly. We could use the kitchen and the living room was a common place for everybody. Ellen and Yo had good hints for our sightseeing trips and were very helpful and just great hosts.

I did many hotels across Japan, Miyajima Seaside hotel, is the probably the best one I’ve been to for many reasons : 1) the staff is very kind and helpful : even by Japanese standards which are high, they were exceptional, they have the best answers for every request 2) the diner at the hotel is one of the best we tried in Japan 3) the view is gorgeous, the room is very cute 4) going to the hotel’s onsen at the end of the day was the cherry on the top 5) the hotel is baby-friendly

Location is perfect (2 min walk to the Miyajima ferry). Kaiseki dinner was excellent and 2 servings were more than enough for 2 adults and 2 small children (4 and 5 years old). Breakfast had western and Japanese options. Staff was excellent, very nice and helpful. They even put our luggage in our room, which was a nice surprise after a day of hiking.

Ellen and Yo and their adorable baby girl welcomed me in like a new member of the family. They went out of their way on so many counts to make my stay and onwards journey a success. True meaning of hospitality! Amenities included lots of free food and drink they keep in the kitchen.
