But what we appreciated even more was the chance to experience the everyday life of monks. The monk at Habanobo explained a lot of things to us about Buddhism, suggested what to visit nearby, and involved us in different activities, for free.

Wonderful stay at this temple, outside of time. My room was spacious and very beautiful, right next to the prayer room of the temple. The futon was comfortable and the food really good both at dinner and breakfast. The priest welcomed me and walked me to the tomb of the master of Minobu, and also helped me to explain how to participate in the morning prayers at the main hall. I wish I could have stayed there for a few days.
