This was my favorite stay during my trip! Surrounded by the countryside, this 280 years old house has all the charms of its age, but still reasonably modern amenities. The staff is especially friendly, helpful, and welcoming. And you can get amazing home-cooked meals too! If you want to go out of the beaten path and explore the rural side of Japan, this is absolutely the best place!

Free breakfast with many choices. Yukata and slippers you can wear to sleep and walk down to the restaurant for breakfast. Bathroom and toilet was a good size compared to those in Tokyo. Supplied air purifier and strong ventilation fan reduced any cigarette smoke very quickly. The latte machine beside the elevator is a nice touch. My family is delighted to see a brightly lit , beautiful big house after quite a bit of driving in the countryside . We arrived Takita-Kan at dusk, in time for a heart warming dinner prepared by the host, is garden to table freshness, is delicious. My family totally enjoyed our stay which is very comfortable and clean, rustic charms meets modernity at Takita-Kan , just lovely, exceeds my expectations .
