One of the best places/experiences I've stayed at. The outdoor various onsen tubs with different scents with that woodland relaxing view is simply magical. Rotating male/female areas every day also gives a great different experience. Massage chairs were also good.

Kamonoya Toya House, hotel in Date

Kamonoya Toya House is a recently renovated holiday home in Lake Toya, where guests can make the most of its garden and barbecue facilities.

Wonderful place to stay at. Check in was so easy. Location was quiet yet so near to the lake and restaurants. The rooms were spacious and the kitchen well-equipped. The beds were comfortable too. We loved the huge TV in the living room. Great value for money considering the overpriced properties in town.

We had a super stay at Yamada. The family went out of their way to help us. Tea and toast with jam was wonderful for breakfast. Go stay there.

I love how thoughtful the place is for families esp. preschooling children or younger. They had kids in mind in every aspect of the place. From rooms, to onsen, the pool and even a kids buffet spread.

The whole hotel is very family-friendly. When the kids are done eating they can play in the back of the dinner hall and the parents can finish their dinner without a lot of stress. The indoor playground in the basement is also great and very helpful on rainy days. The dinner and breakfast buffet is amazing. There should be more hotels like this!
