The couple running the place are super nice and friendly. The wife is also very fluent in English which helps a lot for us. The inn is super cute, homely and everything was very well designed and clean. Breakfast ample and delicious and overlooking a small beautiful garden-you really feel you are on a holiday. If you are looking for a stop near to Chitose airport but yet quiet and serene, this is a perfect rest stop. However, you will need your own transportation as there is nothing within walking distance except for the Lawson store.

You feel like you are in the Shikotsuko lake, rather than in front of it. The service, staff, room equipment were absolutely spotless, and the irori kaiseki dinner we had was just A++ marks on all fronts, environment included. The fact that you cannot take pictures of the onsen except during the first 20 minutes of the cleaning shift adds to the magic, making it an experience during which you must and want to be completely aware, to take it in to the fullest and engrave the scenery in your memory.
