Really nice resort, beautiful room, excellent (and not too heavy) dinner, plus good and varied breakfast spread. There is an excellent harp performance in the evening (and marshmallow toasting). The resort also has vending machines (beer and soft drinks), a pastry shop and a bar, plus a great gym (with gym wear and shoes which can be borrowed). The onsen facilities are excellent. The room private outdoor bath is also superb. The staff are all super nice. There is also a free shuttle service so you can go there even without a car.
Featuring a spa bath, Lake Shikotsu Tsuruga Bessou AO no ZA is located in Chitose.

Wonderful zen feel the moment we stepped in. Personalised impeccable service. Rooms were really spacious, luxurious and come w private onsen, private jacuzzi. Besides the outstanding breakfast and dinner (we got room rates with half board), we were also continuously pampered with free drinks, fruits, snacks and food. Located just across a small road and carpark to the Lake Shikotsu Visitor’s Center and main activities hub.

Our flight was early in the morning, so we stayed in this hotel to be near the airport.
We took the bus in the morning. (15 min by foot to the bus station and then 10 min to the airport)
Additionally we had a rental car for our vacation and this hotel is near the rental shops. We brought back the car in the evening before our flight, so we didn't have to do this in the morning.

The natural hot spring, as well as the onsen baths, feature what might be the most breathtaking view I have ever had the pleasure to experience. You feel like you are in the Shikotsuko lake, rather than in front of it. The service, staff, room equipment were absolutely spotless, and the irori kaiseki dinner we had was just A++ marks on all fronts, environment included. The fact that you cannot take pictures of the onsen except during the first 20 minutes of the cleaning shift adds to the magic, making it an experience during which you must and want to be completely aware, to take it in to the fullest and engrave the scenery in your memory.

The room layout is good and the bed is comfortable.
As families grow in size, so too do the needs of a family holiday. That’s why family hotels are set up to cater for all ages, from toddlers and kids to teens and adults. Typically, you can expect restaurants with kids’ menus, games rooms, fitness centres and a pool area where children can play and parents can relax.
Location is not near any amenities, however there was a leaflet showing us how to order food in Japan. Taxi is also available via the GO taxi app in Japan. I had to call a taxi at 6am to catch my 8am flight. Took about 10minutes in total to get 2 taxis on the app for my family. I had 2 rooms, 3 double beds, enough to fit 6 adults. There is a washing machine, 2 showers and 1 toilet.
Location to the airport and the lady that helped us book a taxi at reception was amazing. The sushi restaurant next to the family mart was a gem find. Excellent food and excellent service, shame the red was empty as it deserved to be appreciated
Service staff were excellent. The room was clean and had all the necessary amenities but it was rather small (normal by Japanese hotel standards I suppose). There’s a Family Mart near the lobby which made it convenient to grab a bite without having to go out in the snow. Allowed us to checkin early and to checkout late which is quite unusual in Japan.
Breakfast started very early, so we could have a bite before we check in for our flight at 630am.
Great variety available as well.
Location is unbeatable as it is just next to domestic check in counters
Room is exceptionally big and we get view of the runway from the room.
Quiet at night after the planes stop taking off and landing.
Right in the middle of airport near the shopping and food outlets
There is so much to do with kids in New Chitose Airport to keep them entertained for getting out of the city a day ahead of flight.
This hotel is right in the airport and is extremely convenient. Our children arrived from Tokyo at 10pm and it was so easy to meet them and walk a short distance within the airport to the front desk. The rooms were comfortable and well equipped and the breakfast was excellent! We parked in carpark B which is just over a foot bridge (escalators) from the hotel and terminal so it was easy to transfer our luggage in the morning. Highly recommended!
Though the room was small and compact it came with everything needed within. They provide complimentary entry to their bathhouse which was well-kept. They also have a small izakiya (gastro-pub) that is connected to the hotel which provides superb food at very affordable prices. The staff was very welcoming as I misplaced my booking to a later date but they were still able to immediately provide us with a comfortable room.
