My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel, it was one of their favorites on our roadtrip through Jordan! It is actually closer to the airport than downtown Amman, so we highly recommend that more travelers start their journey here in Madaba before continuing on to Amman or Petra. Our room was very clean, comfortable and secure. All of the staff were kind and professional. Lots of thoughtful touches throughout the hotel to make it an especially unique and hospitable stay. The half board package that came with the 4-person family connecting room was a great value, and both breakfast and dinner were delicious. Thank you!

Location is brilliant. Super safe to walk around day or night. We were heading to the airport the following morning but were able to drop our stuff and explore Madaba on foot easily in an afternoon, head to a local cafe for food (I'm vegan) and pick up shopping at the supermarket opposite. Lots of parking space and easy to get there and to get to the airport the next day. The price is very reasonable and worked perfectly for us. Would definitely stay again.

From day one, I was made to feel very welcome. I arrived late at night, but Suleiman the host arranged for Carlos, the taxi driver, to meet me at the airport who took me directly to the property were suleiman was waiting to give me a warm welcome, and see if i needed anything. Carlos was also fantastic and looked after me well and took me to all the main historic attractions in Jordan. I can't recommend this place and Jordan highly enough.

Loved this hotel! Really clean and comfortable with lots of extra little touches. Having the pool was brilliant in the heat and we really appreciated it after a long day of tourism. The breakfast was probably the best we had in Jordan. The location was really good - I thought it would be further out of the centre and take longer to walk to restaurants etc but not at all. Equally it’s easy enough to drive in and out from the highways and there is a big car park at the back. There is a bar and a pizza oven which does good pizza. Even water and tea in the room. Wonderful!
The new and modern Rumman Hotel is a cozy, family-run business. It is quietly located only a 10-minute walk from the historical centre of Madaba, also known as the City of Mosaics.

The hotel is very basic, but is very well located, just five minutes away from the airport, and nearby has three gas stations. The room is huge, and overall clean. Bed is big and comfortable, and offers free wifi, water, tea, and coffee. Staff is very helpful, and they also offered free shuttle to the airport, though we didn’t use it, as we had our own car.
As families grow in size, so too do the needs of a family holiday. That’s why family hotels are set up to cater for all ages, from toddlers and kids to teens and adults. Typically, you can expect restaurants with kids’ menus, games rooms, fitness centres and a pool area where children can play and parents can relax.

This was very suitable and family-friendly
The villa's price was amazing compared to the size; I had never had a villa at this price before.
We booked Black Iris Hotel just two day before arrival after a great trip through Jordan. We first wanted to chose another hotel but there was no space for the other family that travelled with us. However, Black Iris Hotel was the best choice. Nice staff, clean rooms, great breakfast and a safe parking area. All sights you could walk to and opposite is a shopping mall that some teenagers of our group liked because of the MC Donalds ;). We can recommend Black Iris Hotel a 100%.
Everything! Perfect, spacious, clean room with comfortable beds. Good shower with plenty of hot water. Good breakfast. Helpful, smiling staff. Just if you come following the Lonely Planet advice, don't expect the "little family hotel". They got bigger since and it's now a quite big hotel with international standard service. You really want to stay here if you come to Madaba!!
we stayed 3 nights and it is in an excellent location only 8 minutes walk to restaurants with a supermarket and fruit shop 1 minute away.
the family are so friendly and the interaction with their lovely children made our stay.
the room was large and clean on a terrace section with a view of wadi miss. the shower was magnificent and appreciated after hiking thru Petra.
great play to visit Petra with a 6 minute drive.
This feels like a real B&B - as a guest you are part of the family. I would definitely advise to take the dinner with them, you enjoy it with the family and other guests. Real local food at good quality in a hospitable atmosphere. We really felt welcomed, and Issam and Marianne do their best to make your stay something to remember. Views are Tuscany like. The entire place was peaceful and also suitable for family with children.
Top location, free parking, very quiet and peaceful, walking distance to all sites we wanted to see in Madaba, very good for a family with small children.
Breakfast was modest, but okay.
Nearby reastautant (Jaw Zimm...) food okay, but Paris prices. 😜
We stayed here as part of our family vacation to Jordan. We arrived very late in the night and Edward, made sure the checkin process was very easy and very helpful. Our children arrived very late the next evening and again Edward was very helpful and had even arrange some food for them.
The place feels like home and the owners make you feel at home and always willing to help and provide good service.
The location is great to the airport and places like Dead Sea and Jerash!
Thank you Edward for looking after us so well.
