A beautiful, luxury property in a perfect location, both private and peaceful but not remote. Equipped with everything we needed, including coffee for the machine, shampoo and shower gel and a good hairdryer. The beds were very comfortable, and all furnishings were high end but homely. Netflix was appreciated by some of our group. Stunning views from the hot tub, across the braided river to the mountains beyond made this a truly special place.
The family-owned Hótel Lækur is set on an Icelandic horse farm, between the Golden Circle and the south coast. Hella is 10 minutes’ drive away. It offers a sun terrace and a guest lounge.

The hut was very warm and comfortable. If you like "middle of nowhere" it's right for you. The kitchen was greatly equipt, all you need in the bathroom and a jacuzzi next door for all guests. Everything was clean, the wifi was good Elin was very helpful and easy to contact. The size of the place is good for a small family. If you don't have a plan to dive too far away while you stay there, I highly recommend it for even a few days.
