The couple that took care of the house was very caring and kind, for example they showed us a local restaurant and walked the way to the restaurant with us, and the next morning they even drove us to the airport

Dey Niwas is unbeatable value for the price you pay. It's also very homely and perfect for relaxing.
The apartment has more than enough to allow you to be self-sufficient. This includes a refrigerator, washing machine, microwave, hot pan and cutlery. There's a separate dining room, kitchen and toilet/shower. Lots of room and lots of rooms!
The bedroom has a big comfortable double bed with a writing desk and a sofa. The A/C works well. I particularly liked the blackout in the night. Wooden shutters with curtains keep it dark in the morning and the small side road is very quiet, all of which allowed me to sleep peacefully.
What's noticeable is how clean the entire apartment is. Everything also functions (e.g. no dripping taps) and looks new. I appreciated the large amount of sockets in all rooms, the water purifier and plenty of liquid soap, shower gel and toilet paper.
All these amenities made it seem like I was staying in someone's well-kept home.
The apartment is a few minutes’ walk away from many small shops, groceries and a street market selling fruit and vegetables. It's also ideally located to get to the airport quickly.
The owner, Kajal, was very helpful, making sure I found the location and booking tempos and taxis for me, even coming out to check my transport had arrived.
I think Dey Niwas is an amazing place to stay and the owner's kindness helped make my travels a success. I highly recommend it.

It's superb guest house... very friendly environment...Manager and all the staffs are very helpful, co-operative.. food is very nice and it's not that much costly... it's affordable... very near to the Airport, Diamond plaza, Belur math, Dakshineswar.... Location is safe and nice, just opposite to Kshitij appartment, Dumdum cantonment... I would love to recommend tourists to stay here ...
