We had the most amazing time here. It's a cute little house right opposite the river and the place is immaculately clean and tidy with homely food. Suresh sir will go out of his way to make sure your stay is perfect in every sense. Island exploration and the sunset canoe ride was exceptional. Would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a hassle free, laid-back vacation experience.

Nice comfy and clean room. It was a joy to sit on the porch of the bungalow and enjoy the beautiful garden by the canal. Vishnu organised a sunrise boat trip and helped us with our onwards travel. His family were all very friendly and the food was nice. Free bikes available to explore the island.

What an amazing experience staying at River Roots - Monroe Island is beautiful and our stay was made even more special by the warmth and hospitality we received at RiverRoots. Our rooms were great, the food was exceptional - home cooked, delicious and plentiful. The location was very good - we walked to local shops for masala chai at every opportunity and the boat for the sunrise cruise picked us up right outside the property! But special thanks must go to Karun - this young man is something to behold. His energy and enthusiasm to make life good for visitors is exceptional. And always with a sense of humour - we never stopped laughing and smiling when Karun was around. Thank you Karunm- your new venture is and will be a great success and we look forward to seeing you again when we next visit.

I initially booked another place with good ratings but it was cancelled a week before my travel. I randomly booked this place without much expectation. But this place turned out to be way better than all expectations. There are only 4 rooms but the property is beautiful, clean, cozy and serene. The owner of the property is very very nice and he even showed us beautiful picturesque places around in Munroe Island. He himself maintains the property and his wife is an amazing cook. The dinner and breakfast was tasty. The rooms are super spacious and clean. Infront of the rooms there are small benches to sit and enjoy the calming winds in the evening. I will definately visit again.

The stay with Vijeesh and his family was awesome! It made our visit in Monroe Island totally worth it. We could go out with a kayak to explore the backwaters and saw all the bueaty of india there! Food with Vijeesh family was always the best, and we always had an awesome time with the other guests. Overall a great experience.

Such a sweet kind family. The room was very nice and clean and the AC worked great. They organized the sunset and sunrise boat tours for us and provided 2 meals. The breakfast was delicious and traditional Indian food, not too spicy and no one god sick. We also had dinner from them and one of our group is very sensitive to spice, and they made a very mild delicious curry she could handle even. I would highly recommend and stay there again if I even was in the area in need of a place to stay again.

The experience was awesome. Right after we arrived, they came to pick us up from the station and they had the breakfast ready for us. They had also booked us ferry ride to explore the island, and the view was just wow. Even the stay was very clean and hygienic. The owners were very sweet and caring. If you are a dog lover, the owners have a very very sweet boy, CHOCO. They even came looking for us after the ferry ride, as we were lost. Even the location was very nice, away from the hush and rush. Awesome experience.
