We stayed at the reading room, which was plentiful in space & well decorated, much like the whole house. It is a beautiful historic house, sporting a gorgeous garden & everything in it is of good taste. We had a good breakfast and good talks with the friendly host, who helped us reserve for our dinner (as all the restaurants in town were closed). We would definitely stay there again. Ps- I had the best scone I've ever had during my breakfast there, truly a highlight!

The location is spectacular, very remote. You hear the sound of the cattle, birds, water. Just lovely. The house is super cool and very old. Was cozy and welcoming. Loved the little town, Ramelton, up the road. Had a great dinner, and found an old pub. Everyone was so nice.

Situated in Ramelton and only 14 km from Donegal County Museum, Swilly View House features accommodation with sea views, free WiFi and free private parking. The property has mountain and lake views, and is 25 km from Raphoe Castle. The property is non-smoking and is set 27 km from Oakfield Park.

The view from the house was great and it was so peaceful and quiet. Just what we were looking for coming from a busy urban life. We loved the interior and the rooms, which were spacious. Elizabeth has kept the house spotlessly clean and provided all the amenities as advertised. Ramelton was only a short drive from the house, so it was convenient to get supplies/food or go for a pint. It also helps that Elizabeth lives close by in case you need any help.

The house was absolutely beautiful. It had everything you could wish for and we had the most amazing holiday with our toddler. Our extended family was in a house just up from us and all the kids just loved the space and amenities. The area was gorgeous. The walk down to the stoney beach was such a lovely addition and it was nice to walk the kids down the private walkway. The views from the house were honestly breathtaking. We can't wait to go back and for longer next time.

The cottage was perfect and the view was amazing from our front door. It was very private, quiet at night and our private hot tub was great. Our toddler loved the playground and the stoney beach. It ticked all the boxes for us as a family and was such a relaxing weeks holiday. Harry was great to deal with and so informative. We look forward to booking again.

The good things about our stay was the park area and football pitch for the children. The toilet facilities were good however only one wash basin and mirror which could be tricky if others are trying to use them. Cannot comment on showers as not need for nights stay but looked ok. Access to kitchen so I could wash baby’s items. Easy to find on Google maps. Owner was very informative on arrival and in contact throughout to all staying over. The lodges and Shepard’s huts look really nice from afar.

We had a really relaxing few days here with family. Our older boys loved the football pitch and our younger kids loved the play park and the nearby beach where they loved collecting sea shells. We also drove to some beautiful scenic areas and large sandy beaches. Our children really enjoyed this break and did not want to leave. Harry went out of his way to make sure everything was ok for all the guests and I would recommend this place to anyone, old or young looking a quiet relaxing break. We really hope to return again in the future.
