Portmarnock Resort & Jameson Golf Links, hotel in Portmarnock

Tucked away in a quiet corner of ‘The Velvet Strand’, one of Ireland’s most stunning stretches of uninterrupted coastline - the historic Portmarnock Resort & Jameson Golf Links, once the family home...

Room was a nice size and comfortable. Bar/restaurants were nice and food was excellent. Staff was always nice and helpful, especially Brian, the concierge - super attentive, always greeted us with a smile and asked if we needed anything. The property grounds were beautiful, from what we could see (stormy/rainy for our entire 1-night stay).

The condition of the hotel is so poor and dated. The bar staff were so rude to my family on ordering drinks that we didn't stay in the hotel room as we were made feel very unwelcome. Hotel room was very dated. lights not working. Bed looked very uncomfortable. I didn't stay to taste the breakfast. It was €245.65 waste of moneys booked though bookings.com
