Lovely hotel with friendly staff. We arrived early as we were going to a concert and we were able to check in and leave the bags there until we came back later. We were given an apartment which was fab, really spacious and comfortable. It's also only a short walk from the DART station.

The Bridge Tavern, hotel in Newtown Mount Kennedy

The Bridge Tavern, a property with a bar, is located in Wicklow, 21 km from National Garden Exhibition Centre, 24 km from Glendalough Monastery, as well as 28 km from Brayhead.

From the moment we arrived the manager could not do enough for us - we arrived by taxi (who wanted cash which we didn't have enough for, so rather than walk to the ATM, the manager offered us to do 'cash back' at the bar), the kitchen was closing but he offered us a few hot options that could be made quickly (lovely fish and chips), he helped us with our suitcases to our rooms, he organised a local taxi for the next day, and even took our breakfast orders for the morning so we would be up and ready to go! Rooms were comfortable and well stocked with facilities. Breakfast was huge, fresh and tasty.

Staff made our stay.. in particular Amy & Jacinta! They were amazing they helped us find the pool table, play room and kids club. They even dropped bath bombs to the room and gave the kiddies chocolate! They obviously really like to help guests experience the best of the hotel and this really makes the difference. This personal touch for us meant the world and we will be back. Thank you ladies 😊

The location is amazing, we chose to stay with the hotel as it's close to nature and you can do forest walks and hikes. Also, the leisure centre is well organised with a big pool for adults and kids, a sauna and steam room and an outdoor hot tub and plunge tub. The room was clean and had a comfortable double bed, with night blinds.

The bar food was very nice for dinner (we didn't do breakfast). The bar staff were very polite and helpful. The room was warm and bed was comfortable. The pool area and sauna was very nice and child friendly. Only a short drive from Dublin.

Staff were brilliant. There was a mix up with the two rooms we had booked but the lady behind the desk was excellent and found us two great adjoining rooms with a door between them at very short notice which we were very grateful for. Breakfast staff were also very attentive as were the staff in the leisure centre so all round was as easy as an experience can be for a family of 4 with two kids under 3yrs old! Thank you all

I have visited many family friendly hotels in Ireland and this one is right up there. The pool facilities for children are excellent, with the right temperature for kids to not get cold quickly and enjoy their time there. Our little one (3) swam every day. The hotel also manages to exude luxury whilst still remaining attractive to families .. breakfast options were superb.
