The ferry is quite close, I took it to get to The Lodge from Cobh, €10. The renovations on this property are top of the line. The property is gated, you can call when you get there to be let in, and there is a kind of keyfob on with your room keys. I felt more like a queen there than I do in my fancy hotel tonight!

Breakfast was not included, which suits us because we don't each much in the morning, and we had a great light breakfast a t the bar. Room was spacious and pleasant. Dinner in the bistro was very good. Swimming pool was great and opening hours really good, better than a lot of other hotels.
