As families grow in size, so too do the needs of a family holiday. That’s why family hotels are set up to cater for all ages, from toddlers and kids to teens and adults. Typically, you can expect restaurants with kids’ menus, games rooms, fitness centres and a pool area where children can play and parents can relax.
Our room had all mod cons, was very comfortable. The place itself was beautiful. Great if you have kids as there are some boars and deer to see on the lands.
Elaine checked us in, she was so nice, she couldn't help us enough.
Breakfast was amazing, lovely setting in a gorgeous country kitchen with open lit fire. Again Elaine made us feel really at home. I think she deserves a big Xmas bonus :-)
Great communication and our room was very comfortable. Access to fully functioning kitchen and a lovely breakfast with other guests. Whole site is very secure too which is great as we were travelling around by car and could leave our belongings safely in the car.
Breakfast was perfect. So beautiful and flavorful. It was the best in our 9-day visit to Ireland. Patrick, Miriam and Elaine were the best hosts. We left feeling very good. Beds were comfortable with duvets that made you want to stay enwrapped in coziness. We loved hiking the grounds and learning about the family, home, work, and history. Ballinwillin House is an asset to Ireland's tourism industry. it's the real deal and a great ambassador for the country.
Excellent cooked breakfast plus fruit, cereal, home made bread and jam.
Two linked bedrooms suited our family group very well.
The use of the kitchen, dining and sitting was also very useful.
Lovely hosts, house and gardens
Breakfast was special eating experience, watching it being cooked by the family host and chatting like you were part of the family
And the deer in the paddock, wonderful to see these majestic creatures up close
Beautiful place, very peaceful with a warm welcome
Pat, Miriam and all the staff were so friendly and made you feel part of their family.
The accommodation & facilities were more than we expected and the added bonus was visiting their Chateau Mulcahy for an amazing and informative wine tasting with Pat keeping us highly entertained. We will definitely be returning.
Spacious comfortable room in quiet separate building adjacent to main house. Very quiet attractive farm grounds with Deer, goats etc all in spacious surroundings.
Breakfast was excellent cooked to order and v high quality, way better than the usual hotel buffet fare.
It's the best B and B we have stayed in in Ireland and having family there we have stayed in plenty over the years.
My husband and I felt so at home in Ballinwillain House, we were greeted by Miriam on arrival and felt very welcome.
We had a fabulous night's sleep in the extremely comfortable bed. Everything was spotlessly clean, bright and fresh.
The breakfast was superb, served by Elaine who couldn't do enough for us.
We enjoyed a lovely chat with the Mulcahy family and discovered Miriam and I were at the same school.
We would definitely recommend this gem in Mitchelstown for your night away.
We will be back!!
