Everything at this bed and breakfast was wonderful. Joan the host was an exceptional host with a keen eye for detail. The bedroom was spacious and very clean. It had everything you would need, including a dressing room. There were good tea and coffee making facilities in the room and if you needed milk, all you had to do was ask. The bed was very comfortable which for my wife who is disabled, is very important. The bathroom was wonderful with a brilliant shower. The breakfast is plentiful and always served with friendly conversation and a lovely smile. Jack our dog was made very welcome too and he loved his stay.
As families grow in size, so too do the needs of a family holiday. That’s why family hotels are set up to cater for all ages, from toddlers and kids to teens and adults. Typically, you can expect restaurants with kids’ menus, games rooms, fitness centres and a pool area where children can play and parents can relax.
Excellent location, nice view from the house. Anne was very helpful in planning our local visits ... Very clean house, well maintained lawn - kids really enjoyed, great family house.
My husband and I stayed for two nights to attend a wedding in a nearby hotel. It was absolutely perfect. Jen is an excellent host, providing us with taxi numbers and offering a bacon sandwich for the drive home (hit the wedding a little too hard😆).
It is a beautiful setting, with plenty of facilities for guests, and the breakfast was delicious!
It seemed like it would be an amazing place to stay as a family with children.
Highly recommend.
Jen and her family are amazing. They are all so sweet and friendly! They were really accommodating and flexible. We appreciate their hospitality and delicious breakfasts! Our room was very clean and comfortable. I am so glad we booked with them!
Loved everything, very clean and cozy and the views are to die for, very peaceful. My friends and I stayed here because we were climbing Carrantouhill that weekend, after the climb we wanted to go to the nearest restaurant for food which was about a 10-15 minute drive. Norma kindly asked a family friend if he could drive us there and collect us which was very kind. (Thank you Jack 😊). Would definitely stay again.
I've been coming to Inverary for quite a few years while Eileen and Noel ran it to perfection. But I have to tell you somehow now that son Fergal and his wife Jen have taken it over, it's even better. It has always been a comfortably family style B&B that has made every effort to make guests comfortable. But now there's more, a wider breakfast menu, a playroom for the little ones, There is no question I'll be back.
Extremely functional kitchen and laundry room, generous welcome pack of produce and amply pantry supplies. Beautiful spacious cottage, comfortable bedrooms, lovely lounge sitting room, spacious and beautiful grounds, atmospheric with cattle in adjacent paddock, friendly well groomed pet dogs, good views of the Reeks and Mt Carrauntoohil. Nice to pick able to use herbs from house garden.
Fergal and Jen are perfect hosts. They welcomed me very kindly, the house is nice and clean, very familiar. The breakfast is really delicious and planty. They had a kind word for everyone, were interested, and gave advices. The house is in a fantastic location, about a 5 minute drive from the Gap of Dunloe. I would go back to them anytime. But the best thing was Loui, the family dog.
The appartment was very specious - separate kitchen and living room. Big bedrooms, each had its own bathroom. The dbl bed was very big and comfortable. It had a washing machine, big plus when you travel with kids. Kids could run outside as it had big garden. And we could use fishing rods. The host family was friendly and helpful.
