Lough Mardal Lodge, hotel in Ballyshannon

Stunning views. The lake is gorgeous and accessible. The Yurt was spacious and comfortable. We made a stove fire every night to keep nice and cosy. The communal area was well kept and the facilties were great. Pack your own dry foods and cold products as there are designated spaces in the cupboards and fridges. The rechargeable lanterns were a nice touch. If you are looking for an off grid, eco friendly experience surrounded by nature, this is the place. It's pet friendly on request and their own dog Archie is the best boy.

The location was fab! We stayed with a few kids who loved the funfair and amusements in Bundoran which is literally a few mins drive away. The kitchen was fully equipped for all cooking needs, which was very helpful and meant we could cook breakfasts and dinners! A lot of space and although there were 7 adults, a teenager, 2 children and a baby it never once felt cramped or on top of each other

I really liked the river view. The apartment was nice and spacious. I would stay again and I would recommend it to family and friends. It was good value for money. I really liked the town of Ballyshannon. The people were very friendly. It was very close to Bundoran but with a more relaxed vibe. It felt safe and easy to navigate. It was a good base for us traveling with two children.

Loved it, cozy decor and fairy lights add to atmosphere in the hut. All clean and functional kitchen and bathroom. Right next to llamas, pony, sheep and cows. Kids loved the outdoor campfire, and garden games. Very picturesque location, with access to erne estuary when tide is out. Lovely friendly hosts.

Fiona was such a friendly, helpful host. Lots of recommendations of good food nearby and kids activities recommended also. All were spot on. The apartment was so well thought out for our two young kids and Fiona left them treats, bubbles, books and had a play kitchen set up in the sitting area. Also milk, bread and essentials in the kitchen. Without doubt the warmest welcome we have ever recieved. Beds comfortable and place spotless. We cannot wait to return ⭐🥰

The location was great, because we were going to the farm to visit Santa, only 5km away. The bedrooms were perfect for our family, one double bed and two singles. The beds were very comfortable and had lovely fluffy quilts and throws. Fiona had complementary bottles of water and goodies for us and the children,as well as milk, tea, coffee and some biscuits. The place was nicely decorated for Christmas, as well as beautiful Christmas themed plates and cups, the children were delighted with those little touches. We'll be back.

Harold and Patricia are hospitality personified - they're warm, friendly and fun to be around. This felt more like staying with family or friends - you get the feeling that Harold and Patricia thrive on the company of those who stay with them. They introduced us to the other guests, with whom we shared a wonderfully convivial breakfast. The food was excellent and beautifully presented and the company was even better. It was a joy to stay.
