Everything was absolutely perfect! I had a huge bungalow all for myself, the veranda is enormous and had a hammock. The garden is wonderful and gives you great privacy. The staff is amazing really. The food was delicious. Couldn't wish for more! I can't wait to book again!

This review was hard to write for two reasons. One, there were so many amazing moments in our week at Villa Cahaya (including a wedding!) that it was difficult to know where to begin, and two, we almost didn’t want to share just how amazing this place is because we kind of want it to be our little secret. From start to finish, everything was as close to perfection as one could imagine. In short, it was the best experience that our group has ever had while on vacation. How so? Well… • Accommodations. The villa is perfect in its design. Open yet cozy, private yet connected, modern yet showcasing many of Bali’s traditional aesthetics. The main house is ultra-inviting and has a lovely common area; the rooms were all spacious, clean, and comfortable, and the pool was heavenly. The pictures are stunning, but actually being there on the property is breathtaking. • The service. Komang, the owner/property manager, is exceptionally professional, genuinely friendly, and easy to chat with. He was always a phone call/text away when we needed a driver or wanted to book activities, ask for restaurant recommendations, etc. Putu was our hospitality resource throughout our stay. She’s detailed, thorough, and endlessly considerate. Her cooking is divine, and her presence and personality make you feel like you’re being cared for by family. Putu is the best. The ground staff were fantastic and worthy of mention. They were there early in the morning, taking care of the pool, the gardens, and the yard so that everything looked and felt first-day fresh when we woke up. • The above-and-beyond. This is a quality that not every hotel or resort has. Villa Cahaya, on the other hand, has it in abundance. From start to finish, there’s an overall attitude that assures you that if your request is possible, it will be met- and likely exceed all expectations.

Incredibly beautiful scenery; quiet and serene setting in sharp contrast to the noise, hustle & bustle of Kuta where we stayed the day prior. The owner has a keen appreciation for beautiful artwork from Indonesia. The architectural features, especially in the restaurant, where the intricately carved wood pillars and beams from Jepara are held together, not with nails or screws, but with mortise and tenon joints. Same with the table supports. The table tops are old Balinese doors and windows with glass overlay. The best table for taking in the scenery is in the corner. The entire hotel staff paid attention to the smallest detail. Should have started and ended our stay in Indonesia here. Now we know.

The location is perfect if you want a quiet spot on the beach and very close to the shop or restaurants which is very convenient for anyone staying without transport.

Everything, absolutely EVERYTHING was incredible. The main desk staff (Budi) & restaurant staff (Galang) were polite, helpful & always looking forward our best comfort and interests. Immaculate villa, with outstanding and specially unbelievable clean bathroom. The place is quite and with a wonderful terrace to enjoy the sunset; made our stay like a dream. The outside area is marvelous, perfect to rest and read. We enjoyed looking at the sea while drinking coffee. It was also amazing to sit under their roof while the storm was happening. The staff was lovely and we felt taken care of.
