Raja Ampat Blue Sea, hotel in Besir

Situated in Besir in the West Papua region, Raja Ampat Blue Sea features a balcony and inner courtyard views. This beachfront property offers access to a terrace.

Raja Ampat Blue Sea was such a unique and authentic experience for us. Paulus and his family were incredibly kind, friendly, and knowledgeable. The bungalows are simple but come with a private bathroom, which was a nice bonus. The food was delicious and plentiful, with vegetarian options available on request. We eagerly looked forward to every meal. You’ll also get an afternoon snack with coffee. Snorkeling from the jetty was always accessible, regardless of the tide, and it was one of the best snorkeling experiences we’ve had. The coral and fish were stunning. While the current can sometimes be strong, you can still stay near the jetty and see plenty of marine life. The nearby village is just a short walk away, where you can buy cold drinks. Beyond the village, in the forest, you can go birdwatching with a local guide and spot the Bird of Paradise. Paulus, the owner of Raja Ampat Blue Sea, is an exceptional and skilled guide. He’s a macro guide and a big fan of nudibranchs, introducing us to the most incredible snorkeling spots that we would have never found on our own. We didn’t know we were nudibranch fans until we met Paulus, but now we’re hooked! The warmth of Paulus and his family made the stay even more special. The kids might show you to your room—even though they don’t speak much English, you’ll figure things out. At times, you might not know exactly what’s going on, but if you're seeking an authentic Papuan experience, this is the place. It’s not your average homestay—it might feel a bit rustic, but it’s full of heart and gives you a real glimpse into Papua’s soul. We only wish we could return.

Daroyen Village, hotel in Besir

Featuring sea views, Daroyen Village in Kri features accommodation, a garden, a private beach area, a shared lounge, a terrace and barbecue facilities.

It was a very pleasant stay. The family was very friendly. The hut over the water was big and comfortable and from the terasse we could watch sunset and the fish in the water. The Wi-Fi was one of the best we had in Raja Ampat. The food was delicious and with variation, despite the isolation of the island. Herman was very helpful with planning of the snorkelling and diving trips.

Alter Native Stay, hotel in Besir

Offering a terrace and a private beach area, Alter Native Stay is situated in Tapokreng. Free private parking is available on site. Some rooms include a seating area where you can relax.

Closeness to nature, which is still unspoiled. Lots of birds, fishes and ofcourse the marine life that is easy accessible from PapuArts Alter Native Stay. Family feeling; easily to feel at home with this lovely family of four (Helga, Timon and their 2 beautiful young daughters who love to make friends). Oh, and I forgot their two sweet dogs Ringo & Dingo 🐾🐾 Owners are very helpful and speak several languages so easy to communicate with them. Internet is sometimes a bit unstable so take that into account when expecting speedy replies (sometimes it just doesn’t work and patience is a good thing to have). The food - home style cooking (breakfast, lunch and dinner are all cooked by the owner and her team and she is a great cook; we loved every meal which was perfectly catered to our vegetarian / pescatarian wishes) The rooms are close to nature as well, with very comfy beds (we stayed in both the smaller and the biggest family room, which easily fits 3 respectively 4 people; the 3rd bed in the smaller room has a wonderful treehouse feeling and there is a bunkbed in the biggest room). Hard to capture the beauty of the rooms in just one picture (I took several but could only post one here with my review). You can hear the sea and birds from your bedroom. It’s right next to you. No frills, just natural materials, which we loved. Also no warm water, but easily to get used to. There’s a shower and mandi style shower. Also your own toilet. Plus the blue blue sea right at your doorstep and a lovely sitting area with a hammock to complete the zen-feeling. There’s a long jetty into the sea with a perfect spot for exercise/meditation/yoga at the end. Fitness with a view! It’s quiet and feels very private. You instantly feel relaxed here. Different excursions to choose from, both on land and on/under the sea. Please note: these come at an extra cost and Raja Ampat area is not cheap!!!! Don’t compare it to any other parts of Indonesia (certainly not...

TABARI DIVE LODGE, hotel in Besir

With sea views, TABARI DIVE LODGE is located in Pulau Mansuar and has a restaurant, a shared kitchen, bar, garden, terrace and barbecue. Free WiFi is provided.

We stayed at that incredible place for 9 nights Tabari is quite a precious discovery in Raja-Ampat area. It is on Pulau Merpati, a tiny island. It takes about an hour to get there from Waisai by a speedboat only. The trip like that will take for about an hour. Brigitte and Jeff, and their incredible team make the stay of their guests unforgettable and comfortable. Tabari means: - family-like environment away from the civilization - daily shark feeding - mind-blowing sunsets - picturesque house reef with turtles and other sea creatures - exquisite French / Indonesian cuisine - diving guided by careful and experienced staff at various sites - marine trips to neighboring islands - sounds of exotics birds and tides - Milky Way in the night sky, which one cannot tear their eyes away. The electricity is available in the morning and evenings; when it is on, the internet by Starlink works like a swing. The bungalows are cozy with the WC and shower. The real gigantic shell is adapted as a wash basin. There are canopies over beds. There were on almost no mosquitos during our stay in late July. At times you can spot some little cute geckos in the bungalow, they hunt insects. There is a hammock on the verandah of a bungalow, so it is nice to chill there enjoying the view. Room cleaning is on the daily basis. Bath and beach towels are provided, which is very comfortable. Meals are served 3 times day at the large table with all the guests seated round, then it is nice to discuss with other guests what has been seen and experienced during the day. We felt at ease like in a real family. Tea / coffee, cookies and some fruit are available at the kitchen during the day. The house reef is magnificent, very vibrant, diverse, soft and stony corals, many sea creatures! Bridget carefully organizes transfers from Waisai and back, she can agree upon a taxi from the ferry to Sorong airport, she is a helping hand with all the issues.

Mansuar Raja Ampat Bungalows, hotel in Besir

Mansuar Raja Ampat Bungalows features a garden, shared lounge, a terrace and bar in Kri. The accommodation provides a 24-hour front desk, airport transfers, a shared kitchen and free WiFi.

Mansuar Raja Ampat Bungalows was one of the best homestays we experienced during our three-week stay in Raja Ampat. The bungalows are beautifully decorated, with great attention to detail. The bed was the most comfortable one we found throughout our trip. The food was amazing, but what truly made the stay unforgettable were the hosts, Mima and Ringo. They were incredibly friendly, fun, and welcoming, adding something special to our experience. They also speak perfect English. We went on a trip with them, a visit to Piyanemo and snorkeling at Rufas Island, which was breathtaking. The Yenbuba Jetty is just a 15-minute walk away and is also a fantastic spot. The house reef is wonderful, and they’re planning to build a longer jetty for easier access during low tide. We only wish we could have stayed longer—this place was truly special.

Anno Homestay reached beyond our expectations! The family was very kind and always helpful to us. The bungalow was very comfortable with spectacular view. The toilet is clean. The location itself is very peaceful and quiet , you can hear and spot birds just from your veranda and sometimes you will see shark passing by the bungalow. As for the food, the mother provide us with very very delicious food with generous portions and the food is always different every single day. Plus, we ate fresh fish every day that the family fish themselves.

Had a really nice stay here. Beautiful bungalows with a great view. You can see baby sharks, lots of fish and birds from the balcony. They help you with the transport to dive schools and the harbour. Food was great as well! Make sure to do the plankton / firefly tour with Pablo!

Aron and his family is very very caring and kind. Gam Bay bungalow has only existed since summer 2023, so we were some of the first guests at this homestay. The bungalow is small and cute and has one double bed and a small table. The bathroom offers bucket showering beside the toilet. The bay is beautiful at high tide but not the nicest at low tide, as in many other places. The reef was good outside the bay. The food at this homestay is excellent! We can highly recommend this homestay!

    - snorkeling around the jetty was great, many fishes - food was yum! We even had fried chicken, a self-made delicious chocolate cake for breakfast and always bananas - nice fishes at night around the bungalow (small sharks and big eagle ray) - lovely kids - sunrise and sunset - power all day - fan - hammock - some shops around - in general a flat island, which you can easily completely explore in about half an hour
