Such an amazing place. A great spot to just chill out for a few days. There’s literally a jungle all around and the river is beautiful and clean. The staff were fantastic, they really try to make this place feel like home for you.

The area is popular for canoeing and hiking. The property is a 60-minute boat ride from Río Dulce, and a 25-minute boat ride through the magnificent Río Dulce Canyon to the funky Garifuna town of Livingston.

I loved my stay here! The garden, the yoga deck, the river. This place is amazing! The dorm is very cute and the family dinners are delicious (the portions are very generous). Recommend renting a kayak for a day of exploration!

Casa Manatí features accommodation in Lívingston. The property has river and inner courtyard views, and is a few steps from Ribera Rio Dulce Beach. Boasting family rooms, this property also provides guests with a picnic area.

Julio’s cabana was newly built and very spacious. He just finished the new porch overhang the day before my arrival! I really liked the rustic feel of the home, and how private it was. I was the only one on the property during my stay. I stayed in the private room, but took a look upstairs at the loft. There are multiple beds in an open floor layout, with mosquito netting to ensure a comfortable sleep. There are kayaks available for a small extra fee, making getting around on the river very easy - especially if you have friends nearby, would like to visit the thermal waters, or grab dinner at Restaurante Viajero. Julio also has a well stocked kitchen if you will be doing your own cooking, as well as an EcoFilter water purifier. Loved my stay! Thank you Julio and your family for making me feel welcome.

Management and all staff were super friendly, accommodating, and professional. We also loved our view on the large balcony. The hotel restaurant is outstanding, excellent food with a beautiful view of the ocean and surrounding mountains. We would definitely recommend to others looking to stay in the area.

Cozy hotel with The Beach-feeling. We liked how easy it was to meet new people as well as the family dinners and the staff. The bungalow by the water was a great escape from the busy common areas.

Unique location in the middle of the jungle. We stayed in a budget room that was indeed very simple but it was super clean, what more can you expect for the price. They organize pick up from where the shuttle or bus drops you off for a fair price. What we liked the most was the family like atmosphere, staff is super friendly. You have dinner with all the other guests at 19:00, which is a nice way to connect and hear stories from other travelers. They also have good tour options!

Fantastic lodge by the river, great for kayaking trips along Rio Dulce. The food was amazing, a great menu for breakfast and lunch and family style dinners with everyone eating together. They catered for our kids with different evening meals (pizza / pasta) as they are picky eaters. The rooms are surrounded by jungle, with comfy beds with mosquito nets. Comfy common areas with hammocks and comfy sofas.
