Location- 5 mins walk to the beach. Several beach bars. We went to Kooba a lot. Great food and you can use sun beds for free or stay by pool for 10 euros each. Worth it as beach got a bit windy. Walking distance to coffee shops, gift shops and restaurants 2 mins. Waves was a good restaurant.

The property is set high on the hills overlooking Heraklion and the wine valleys .. the view is stunning .. the villa we stayed in was very comfortable and blended in well with the environment.. my husband and I used the pool both days and could relax next to it enjoying the scenery and near by goat herds .. Elena and her husband were always very friendly and what a magnificent spread she cooked and delivered to our room for dinner, catering generously with home cooked vegetarian meals for me and lamb from the farm for my husband .. most of the produce for dinner and the plentiful breakfast comes from the farm or neighbouring areas.. we would definitely stay here again ..

The Villa is wonderful and has stunning views of the surrounding hills. Our hosts were lovely people and could not have been more accommodating; their local knowledge of restaurants, beaches and places to visit was extremely helpful.

We were with 4 kids (0.4, 2, 5, 8) and had a great expirience!
It felt authentic yet modern. It offered amazing views over the city and the bay.
It was very very quiet though. Kids had a wonderful time and the pool was busy till 11pm- multilingual shouting and lots of laughter.
Beautiful location Friendly staff make you feel welcome throughout. Georgia is exceptional, she is constantly on the go cleaning, cooking etc. but always has time for a chat and some fun as well.
The house is a beautifully renovated Cretan home in the village of Tylissos. It is fully equipped with all kinds of household items since it is a family home. Lovely stay!
This location is perfect if you want to stay at a silence place with an amazing view. The hostess Georgia is so nice and helpful and friendly. For us she felt like family. Estate Kares was like it is our second home. We will be back for sure!!
