Samuel and the staff were extremely friendly and responsive to our every need and communication was very good before our stay ensuring I was allocated a room that was suitable for my disability.
Our apartment had a fabulous terrace with stunning views of the mountains. It was right next to the pool with distant views of the sea, which we could also see from the 3 windows in the lounge.
The cleaning was of impeccable standard by a very friendly and polite girl called Dimitra, she was superb! We were surprised to find that cleaning was offered every day with sheets changed when necessary and fresh towels on our third day.
The hotel was very quiet with respectful guests, you could hear road noise from the outside terraces but not from inside the room but even outside it was not intrusive.
Set in Likotinaréa and only 30 km from Archaeological Museum of Rethymno, Amethyst Estate offers accommodation with mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking.

Spotlessly clean, great kitchen with all of the things to cook a nice meal. Good coffee filter machine, also greek pot for making traditional Greek coffee. Very spacious ground floor two bedroom with a big good quality sofa bed in the living/dining room. Smart tv for YouTube and Netflix etc. Amazing swimming pool with lovely spacious surrounding garden. Large covered patio for eating al fresco.

Although it is 7 km from the beach it is a superb location with beautiful sea views, large clean pool. We had impeccable support from the lady. Villa is equipped with everything needed for a family. Outside by the pool there is a terrace with table and barbecue where you can spend the afternoon in peace. Worth the 10+ and we will be back with great pleasure.

A lovely 11 days stay in a spacious villa with plenty of facilities and very clean. Michalis is a fabulous host, visiting every day to empty bins, clean the pool and answer any questions (and equally happy to not visit if you don't need him). He's also always available on WhatsApp for any questions.
Finding homemade Pasticcio cooked and ready for us on arrival was very welcome after travelling. As was finding the fridge well stocked with essentials for our first day...so no rushing to the supermarket on arrival.
The villa is excellent...spacious, very clean, well supplied in all respects whether it is towels or sun loungers. The dishwasher and washing machine really helped.
The town is a short walk away (along or across a busy road) and take a torch in the evenings if you will walk home (Michalis kindly provides one). Or take a taxi for 5 or 6 €. All the taxi companies are good, and book your transfer from the airport direct with them as cheaper than airport taxi transfer.
If you hire a car, hire in the town after arrival, not from the airport....its MUCH cheaper.

absolutely unique place, apart from the fantastic location and beautiful views, clean rooms, great atmosphere. We were so well taken care of on site that it was a pity to leave, delicious breakfast. Adonis the owner is wonderful, cheerful and very hospitable and Viviene is the heart of this place. I recommend it to anyone who wants to fall in love with Crete and the people living here. A great place to go in all directions

We had a fantastic time in Mikro Livadi Hotel. The family that owns /runs it, really is very helpfull and sweet. We ate several times at the hotel's exclusive restaurant and every time the food was excellent, fresh and often from their own farm. We had meat, seafood and some vege pies, plus all side veggies that were availlable I guess :), although we would've been just fine with their cheese, bread and olive oil ... haha. Much like mama's kitchen, I would say.
The apartment we had was clean, spacious, had everything that we needed. Just outside the terrace there was an array of beautiful plants, among them a lime tree, lavender bush, and jasmin. Oh, the scent !!! I once stayed half a night reading a book on the terrace just intoxicated with these aromas.
There were clean towels and sheets every few days, plus a set of pool towels too. The pool was great, just perfect size and depth to swimm and for kids to have fun.
The beach is just few minutes away, large, with beach bars and showers.

I am slightly conflicted in writing this review. This beautiful village gains its attraction in part because it is not very well known and because it retains the spirit of a mountain village in central Crete from an earlier age. And long may that last.
However, in honesty I must also say that this accommodation in the centre of the village is a remarkable place - our suite was so beautiful and well equipped, and the garden so well cared for. The pool is really lovely. We had a jacuzzi in our bedroom but there is also a lovely comfortable lounge and kitchen. This genuinely a really beautiful place.

As families grow in size, so too do the needs of a family holiday. That’s why family hotels are set up to cater for all ages, from toddlers and kids to teens and adults. Typically, you can expect restaurants with kids’ menus, games rooms, fitness centres and a pool area where children can play and parents can relax.
Family run, had a nice feel with Roses in the garden and allotment plots with veggies growing. Decent pool which was clean and lovely views over the hills. 2 bedroom, 2 bath apartment which was good value for money, newly refurbished. Very quiet, not many other guests.
Newly opened family hotel with extremely nice staff and owners. We've stayed in room with private pool and it added extra romantic to our stay. Nicely decorated rooms and the entire hotel. Breakfasts were good, all what was needed is there. We can recommend hotel :)
The house was clean and comfortable and the family who owns the place welcomed us with local food. The house is in a nice location, meaning everything is one short walk away and the view is gorgeous. You must pay a visit to the family’s taverna Mamma Pelagias - they have the best baklava. :) Overall 10/10
