Amazing location! Clean rooms and pool, quiet place with outstanding views. Chrysi is very warm and welcoming host and informed us about everything we needed to know. There are a few easy common sense rules to follow at the location which shouldn't be a problem with anyone. For sure we will come back next year!

Featuring a private heated pool and a furnished sun terrace, the split-level Villa Majestic Crete heated pool and sauna is located in Megala Chorafia, within 2 km from Kiani Akti Beach. It has a blossomed garden with BBQ facilities and offers unobstructed views over the Cretan Sea and the mountain.

Stavroula and Kostas met up when we arrived late in the evening with a big moussaka which we ate with good appetite. Stavroula also during the week gave very valuable support and advice regarding a doctor's appointment and a covid-test, saving a lot of time and worry. We were impressed by her kindness and generosity! The house is luxurious, modern and very comfortable. The two teenagers just loved the heated pool, much warmer than the sea (we stayed in early November). It is very positive that Stavroula and Kostas, if needed, can heat the house with pellets made out of olive waste (we had great, warm weather and the heating was just needed the first day which was colder). The Aptera taverna in the village (10 min walk) had very good food and we visited it many times. We also used the minimarket in the village. Bedrooms in two stores guarantees a good sleeping environment. The view from the pool area, windows and balcony is fantastic over the Souda Bay. A car is needed and we used it to go to Chania, Akrotiri (Catholico Monastery, Zorba Beach, Koukouvaja Cafe), Aptera, Diktamos gourge (Stilos), Kalyves, Vamos.... So much to see in the area. Please note that the villa is not suitable for families with small kids since the pool area is steep as are stairs (no railings).

Amazing villa with all of the amenities needed and splendid garden. 25 min to Chania which is OK. Great hospitality from Kostas who helped us fix all of the issues we had. The path next to the villa following the river is a bonus if you want to escape from the sun and enjoy a nice walk.

The surroundings are beautiful, room spacious and clean. The family who runs the hotel is amazing, this place really feels like a home away from home. Food is so delicious greek home made food, snacks and salads. Wine and cocktails are top-notch. Somehow all the other guests seems to be nice too, everyone behaves well. If you want to enjoy in an authentic Cretan atmosphere, Areti is the place to be. Cant wait for our next visit, thank you Mary & the family.

Very nice family run appartment hotel with a welcoming and caring atmosphere. Small kitchen in the room. Beautiful pool and surroundings. Our room was west-east-oriented so we never had to use the air conditioning. Even that the hotel has no restaurant, they offer some food on demand. When the hotel offers the cretian all you can eat dinner buffet, this is a must.

The family who run this hotel are so friendly, welcoming, giving you a personal touch to your stay. It has a rustic feel being surrounded by locals, sheep farmers and chickens o site. The breakfast was fresh and tasty. The pool is very large, clean and warm with a view of the hills. Our aparentment had a good sized balcony with great views if the pool, sea and hills behind. A great place for a quiet retreat and the stars at night are beautiful.

We had a family room for our family of five and it was spacious and our three kids each had a bed. The best things about this place are the enormous pool, the mountains, the stunning views to the sea, the stone architecture, the peace and a great restaurant (or three) nearby.
