Despite to be basically a big cabin, this guesthouse is worth being called a small family hotel, thanks to the excellent people who run it with love and passion to their guests. The food is awesome! The view is fantastic! We made friends with locals who'd swiftly helped us with a punctured tire.

The hotel and its staff were truly exceptional and I cannot recommend more to spend your time there while on the trip to the amazing Tusheti. The hotel itself is very cozy, tasteful and beautiful, especially considering how remote the area is and how cumbersome it is to bring all of the materials and deliveries there. The breakfast (and other meals) were exceptionally delicious and thought through. The staff was very attentive, friendly and professional. This place, really, brings your Tusheti experience to a whole new level!

Nana, the host, is lovely. The property has a big living area with books, paints, and things that will keep you occupied for a while. Lots of tea, coffee and warm drinks are always available. The view from the property is great. The room is big and has enough space for the four beds. There are multiple drawers for luggage and hanging hooks for clothes and all. Cleanliness is top notch. I made some changes in my booking but Nana was very cooperative with it. There is a toilet and bath on each floor and I never had to wait for my turn. The food Nana makes is amazing. Have a few meals in the hostel, if not all. I would definitely come back again.

Breakfast was great with locally produced food including ham, eggs, cheese, tomatoes, as well as homemade honey and pancakes we couldnt eat it all each day!! The staff spoke pretty good english as well especially the daughter so helped us out with questions about places locally to visit. We made our own bbq each evening and ate in their huge outdoor banquet area with a fantastic view over the valley to a massive mountain range with a horseshoe river far down below us that we could watch from the 'instagram photo' bench at the bottom of the garden. On the second night 3 or 4 horses meandered up to us and let me stroke them. The house is just as you enter Lower Omalo on the only road in, its a 10-15min walk to the Tusheti Visitor Centre which has a museum showing the customs and traditions of the Tushetian people as well as its history i read 1 story there referring to a battle where the town was being invaded and the family killed themselves with text that read something like 'it is better to die by the people you love, instead of being butchered by the enemy'. We then trekked up the hill to Upper Omalo and the fortress on the hill with superb views of the whole town and surrounding areas. We saw large birds of prey gliding majestically from tree to tree each day, wild horses roaming the fields, as well as small lizards scurrying around over rocks as we climbed up the hill to the fortress. Oh and we tried some amazing homemade Tushetian Khinkali at a local restaurant as well as the tushetian version of Khachapuri (called Kotori), both very different styles to what we eat in Tbilisi so it was cool to try them. For such a remote location the majority of locals we spoke to spoke pretty good English we had no issues asking directions or just chatting to them to find out about life in the mountains! Such a peaceful location with the freshest of air we loved our stay there

Thank you so much for everything! Salome helped with everything on our trip, from organising our travel via 4x4 jeep through the mountains, trekking, to our horse riding trip. Her and her beautiful family made our magical trip to Tusheti really perfect and unforgettable. We really miss it and hope to come back! Love Natalia and Casey x

Awh, this place is so good. What an amazing family. The food is exceptional and great value for money, I stay for four days and never ate the same thing twice. The rooms are beautifully designed, the atmosphere they have created is the perfect balance of friendly and open and allowing you to have your space. So much respect for them and all their hard work and can’t wait to see them again ✨🌿🇬🇪💭🗻✨☺️

The family are so welcoming. They immediately offered us an upgraded room as it was vacant which was very kind of them. We had an ensuite room in a separate building in the garden. It had a nice table you could sit out on the veranda. It's so peaceful there. We ate dinner and breakfast, both were excellent. We were even given wine with dinner.

Cozy guesthouse with an amazing view over Upper Omalo and Keselo fortress. Very delicious vegetarian and homemade breakfast and dinner, that we enjoyed despite the fact we are not vegetarians. Clean rooms and bath, comfortable beds. Very helpful and kind host Levan and his sister's family. There is a common room with sofa, bean bags and books, that is very convenient during rainy days. We really enjoyed our stay there!
