Breakfast good on the Saturday morning. Bed comfortable. Great location for exploring Hertford town. Lots of pubs and restaurants nearby. I would stay again but perhaps in a room over the other side of the hotel to avoid the noise.
As families grow in size, so too do the needs of a family holiday. That’s why family hotels are set up to cater for all ages, from toddlers and kids to teens and adults. Typically, you can expect restaurants with kids’ menus, games rooms, fitness centres and a pool area where children can play and parents can relax.
Nothing, the owner was pleasant until I asked for a partial refund as I only stayed one of three nights due to the noise coming from the cupboard and an overwhelming smell.
The room was well maintained and had some superb features. The bed was extremely comfortable and staff were very helpful. I walked around the grounds and had the pleasure of seeing a beautiful deer and her baby fawn. The surroundings are peaceful and relaxing.
Venue was busy with wedding and pre wedding functions but the senior staff member made time to personally welcome us to the restaurant and a lovely young lady looked after us very nicely.
Lovely swimming pool! Beautiful hotel and grounds. So child friendly. Staff exceptional... Rohan at breakfast has an eagle eye and manages everything so effortlessly and makes everyone feel like they're the most important guest there. You're not rushed like at some hotel breakfasts. Candice (or was it calice) was always so friendly and efficient. Cleaning staff... Everyone really... Lovely. Forgot the name is the ladies who served us dinner and the dinner manager but they were all lovely too
I needed a place to stay in Ware for a family celebration, the Rifle was perfectly located for us, it is just a short walk from the town centre and the train station. The staff in the pub were really welcoming and kind. The room had all we needed for a couple of nights stay, it was clean and comfortable. I would stay again.
The owner (Nigel) was very helpful, allowing us into the room early to change and freshen up for a family event. Well located for our needs and well priced.
It was a lovely quirky property, un the centre of town, and was exactly as described. The host was very helpful, which made the stay run like clockwork
