I was really made to feel welcome. I arrived much later than I had expected, after dinner service was finished. Even so, the staff went out of their way to make me a small meal. The room was clean and warm, I slept really well. Breakfast was great too.

I had high expectations given the pictures and I was not disappointed at all, my teenage daughter neither! The cottage is beautifully decorated and seems to have been renovated recently. It is very cosy and feels like home. Lucy even put up a Christmas tree for our arrival on 1st December, which was so nice! The bed was super comfortable, the duvet is thick but fluffy and light, super warm, we slept really well. I am very noise sensitive but haven't been disturbed at night by the clients of pubs around. The village is lovely and everything is within walking distance: supermarket, post office, the old abbey, nice walks amongst the fields. We had a lovely stay!
