Whitehouse, hotel in Uplawmoor

Located in Uplawmoor and only 19 km from Pollok Country Park, Whitehouse provides accommodation with garden views, free WiFi and free private parking.

Ailie and Nigel were amazing! They couldn't do enough to make the stay as comfortable as possible. Nothing was too much trouble and they are both very nice people. Nigel was incredibly helpful in driving me to the local Johnstone train station when cabs were a problem. Breakfast was spot on. There are two lovely dogs there too (Bryce and Toffee) if you miss your own dog during your stay as I did. The dogs are not allowed to roam the building so don't fret. I was allowed to go to them for some pats. I returned late (after midnight) on each night of the stay and there were no problems with accessing the property despite the late hour. The setting is lovely and quiet with really nice walks right on your doorstep. It was a great stayover for a few days and will definitely rebook when I am up that way again. Room was comfortable and spacious enough for a couple of nights. Facilities were fine too. Bathroom was a good size and well fitted out.

Set on a farm (satnav can be a little dodgy to find it) the location is great. Lots of open spaces and the family run accommodation is really large and spacious, they were really helpful and even bought a chiminea to enjoy the cool evenings with. We booked the two bedroom Old barn accommodation which was more than adequate for our needs. Self catering facilities were first rate, with a large kitchen and seating area and a comfortable living room with facilities for a nice log fire if desired.

Place was located in a quiet location away from any town. Had a very nice traditional atmosphere you don't get with chain hotels. We arrived late but Craig who seems to run the whole place was super friendly and very welcoming. Within minutes of our arrival we were all chatting in the bar with some friendly locals. Craig is genuinely interested in the guests and is funny and engaging.
