A beautifully furnished and immaculate property in a quiet countryside location with plenty of parking space, easy access to major roads, and a welcoming pub a few miles away. Glenda and Lee could not have been more brilliant hosts. The bedroom was well appointed, spacious, the bed comfortable, and lots of little extras were included to make our stay that bit more special . Lee makes a superb a la carte breakfast - worthy of a Master Chef citation. Brenda breeds and shows dogs, but there is no noise and we never saw them, other than in the many lovely photos. We would not stay anywhere else if we come this way again.

This experience was amazing from start to finish. Chris and Tina made us feel very welcome and went out of their way to accommodate us and make sure our experience was one to remember. Waking up to the llamas, chickens and ducks was fantastic. We got to feed the llamas which were so friendly and well behaved. Even our dogs loved them too. The hot tub and fire pit were absolutely brilliant and we thoroughly enjoyed every second of our stay. The attention to detail was perfect and there is clearly a lot of thought goes in to everything. The kids even enjoyed having no TV and enjoyed the games provided… no WiFi needed!! We were so sad to leave and will definitely be back soon! Thank you so much for everything.

We loved the hosts and the welcome we got from the resident dog (gorgeous).
We were only there for 3 nights and travelled with our dog and it was perfect. Our only criticism was that should you be staying for longer the lack of kitchen facilities might be problematic. We loved our stay and apart from that it was perfect.

Nice modern little place. Very cosy, bed so comfortable. Very clean which is a big thing for me. We were only there one night so the kitchenette was adequate for what we needed. Lovely big garden you can use (if your dog isn’t too nosy like ours😂) Joanne was very friendly and was very helpful.

I was so surprised with how beautiful the place was. There were all rooms occupied, but absolutely was not disturbed by any way. Rooms felt private and safe. And all the plants!!!!

The staff were friendly and welcoming ans nothing was too much trouble. Bed was comfortable and there was a generous supply of towels. Breakfast was exceptional and my furry companion was offered and very much enjoyed his own breakfast sausages. If I ever need to be anywhere in the vicinity in future, I'd have absolutely no hesitation in staying at the Anchor again.
As families grow in size, so too do the needs of a family holiday. That’s why family hotels are set up to cater for all ages, from toddlers and kids to teens and adults. Typically, you can expect restaurants with kids’ menus, games rooms, fitness centres and a pool area where children can play and parents can relax.
Lovely static home, host greeted us and even had, bread, milk, jam and eggs left for us which was great. Towels and toiletries were also available and the place was obviously very new and well kept. Excellent views, quiet coutry setting, my family had a great stay here.
It was comfy and warm, so good to arrive to a warm place after a long drive. It had everything you needed and more. We had grandchildren with us and it was lovely to find board games to play.
The lodge was exceptional and exceeded all expectations.
We wanted for nothing whilst we were there and everything was catered for, even down to the toys our two year old son was loath to leave.
The property was clean and tidy and the location a perfect base for our travels around the area.
The little hamper was a wonderful touch and completely unexpected.
We will be sure to recommend this wonderful little place to friends and family and hope to return again soon.

Very cosy and homely. Very thoughtfully equipped with entertainment for the whole family, from board games, books, dvds, to TV/DVD players in every room. It is comfortable and relaxing. Very clean and well kept. The view of the lake was stunning.

Accommodation was better inside than the pictures showed. The Wi-Fi was a bit inconsistent. Lovely quiet location with good golf & pool facilities if you want them. Would go back again with family & friends, especially if they play golf.
