The location to Stansted airport is really good, there is lots of parking on site about 300 metres walk down a farm track from the hut.

Typically, you can expect restaurants with kids’ menus, games rooms, fitness centres and a pool area where children can play and parents can relax.
The location was perfect. We were celebrating our Ruby anniversary with friends. We were able to lock the car up in the car park. We were able to eat, drink and be merry - a memorable stay, checking in was a real delight - Jackie is a real asset - friendly, funny and above all very helpful.
Have stayed at the Swan about five times. Location location location!!

Very welcoming staff, lovely room. The breakfast was fantastic. We had travelled down for a family wedding and had a lovely meal on the first of our 2 nights stay. We will stay again to explore the area
Room refurb is great - we have used this place before for family as we live across the road. However, the room key fobs did not work at night so 3 couples were locked out. The on call member of staff did not respond to the calls. Our 4th member of the family had to get dressed and come down to let them in. This was not good.
What a lovely quaint pub and hotel. The room is perfect for the overnight stay that we needed. We had a couple of drinks in the pub which is a beautiful 1600s old English pub and to top it off the owners could not have been more accommodating. We will definitely be back with the family for something to eat.
A lovely welcome from the reception. The room was spotlessly clean, the bed was comfortable and the bathroom was lovely and more than functional. The communal area was very pleasant. The parking was ok at the back of the hotel. The village of Thaxted was quiet and pretty. Would definitely use the hotel again.
Last minute booking after missing a flight at Stansted airport. We stayed in twin room with my child. Tranquility, quiet, big rooms, comfortable beds, helpful lovely staff/hosts.
