Dating back to 1858, the building was once the official residence of the island’s Governor. Today, the Old Government House still retains many beautiful original features and a timeless charm and elegance. The building has been lovingly restored and sympathetically refurbished, incorporating the modern facilities of a luxury hotel.

The staff were amazing, especially Roberto!

Located in St Peter Port, the capital of Guernsey, The Albany Apartments offer self-catering accommodation that features free WiFi, free on-site parking and an outdoor pool. The property is 20 minutes' walk from Castle Cornet and Guernsey Ferry Terminal.

At The Albany Apartments guests will find a garden. Other facilities like a games room and a children's playground.

We were a party of 4 adults staying here for 10 nights in June. The apartment was perfect for us, each couple had their own bedroom with en-suite shower room. It was very comfortable & had everything we needed for a very comfortable home from home stay, a separate kitchen plus a lounge/diner with TV. We were blessed with great weather & made full use of the balcony & the lovely heated pool. It was a bonus to have pool & beach towels provided. Although we walked to the centre of town most days we made use of the bus service on our return as it was quite a climb, saying that though the bus stop was only a couple of minutes from the property. Tracey kindly gave us each a Puffin card which we loaded with credit on the bus & for 75p per person per trip were able to get around the island very easily from that bus stop.

Good was very good. Room was small & poorly designed eg kettle leaf would not reach socket, TV was tiny & malfunctioned. Noise from kitchen aircon disturbed in morning & late into evening. Water pressure in shower varied during operation. Staff were very efficient & maintained an appropriate manner but bar was closed early without warning.
