Nestled in the luxury valley of Speyside, The Craigellachie Hotel was described by Condé Nast Traveller as “the oldest and greatest whisky hotel in the world”. The Craigellachie has 26 bedrooms, and it’s home to the oldest pub in Speyside: the Spey Inn, an old drovers inn dating back to 1703, and to the world-renowned Quaich Bar, where guests and tourists can savour over 1,000 single-malt whiskies alongside some of the best cocktails.

The Aberlour Hotel is a lovely family run hotel, situated in the heart of Scotland's Malt Whisky Country.

Family and Dog Friendly, there is a varied menu serving fresh home cooked food using the finest local produce from the humble sandwich through to scallops and steaks to venison casserole. The well-stocked bars offer cask ales and a variety of drams from Speyside and further afield.

What a surprising treat! This unassuming little hotel had touches that took it a step above the rest. Each room, we booked five, had a record player in it. There was a treat in each room as well, Walker biscuits, of course. The bathroom was large and well equipped with a very nice shower. We ate both dinner and breakfast in the hotel. Everyone enjoyed their dinner, and the service at the hotel breakfast was amazing. The kids ordered the pancakes and bacon, and I wish I had as well! Delicious! The buffet featured, fresh berries, such a rarity in most hotels. There is ample parking in the area. I would definitely recommend this hotel and return. Don’t miss out on walking the Speyside river walk across the way and visiting they original Walker shortbread shop, a few doors down

Situated in Dufftown and only 24 km from Huntly Castle, Convalmore House features accommodation with garden views, free WiFi and free private parking. The holiday home, set in a building dating from 19th century, is 35 km from Leith Hall Garden & Estate and 39 km from Kildrummy Castle. We basically liked everything. Spacious house with everything necessary in the kitchen (utensils, plates, glasses, super nice oven, a toaster, coffee machine, electric kettle, etc.), also hair dryers for convenience. The host was responsive at any moment in case anything popped up. There were cleaning products, clean towels. The bathrooms are new and convenient. There is also a separate toilet with no bath or shower which is very convenient, not mentioned in the description but good to know. Super cosy place, great rooms for any activity - dining, TV, chilling, playing games. Great bedrooms with nice furniture.

We stayed here as our base in Speyside during our distillery tour in Scotland. Located in the center of Rothes, we could walk to the Glen Grant and Speyburn distilleries (we enjoy walking). The room was spacious and comfortable. On the ground floor, there is a public bar with a wide selection of whiskies, where we enjoyed tasting multiple kinds. We highly recommend this place as an affordable and comfortable base for visiting Speyside.

The apartment was warm, clean, comfortable, and very well equipped. There was everything that we needed, and obviously, a lot of thought had gone into making sure that guests wanted for nothing. There were plenty of throws, cushions, etc, and all excellent quality. The welcome pack on arrival was so nice and much appreciated and by far the most comprehensive that we have had anywhere! It was great value for money, and we will be happy to recommend it to family and friends.

The apartment was clean, comfy & large enough for a family. The hosts left us some biscuits which was a nice touch. The large garden with outside seating was lovely but we never got chance to use as we were out all day. Would definately stay here again if visiting the area. Great location for exploring the area from Aberdeen to Inverness.
