Gone are the days of the stuffy old posh hotels with dinner jackets and dresses at dinner. Homewood is firmly in the 21st century - relaxed and friendly without subtracting any of the high standards demanded of a luxury hotel.

Lovely decor, rooms very clean and comfortable, hot tub room was a highlight! Loved that the water temperature was very warm in both pools and our hut tub, it was a bit cold outside so it was perfect! We also recieved a small welcome gift (bubbles and dessert) for our anniversary, which was such a personal touch from the staff.

Everything was wonderful! A warm and comfortable place to stay, kind host who had even left us freshly baked home-made bread on our arrival, a lovely hot tub, well appointed kitchen, comfortable living room and beds... Also very child friendly for our little toddler, who enjoyed playing with the play kitchen. I would definitely recommend!

The staff were wonderful, we felt like family staying there. The room was amazing, with so much of the 14th century charm on display and cozy. The food was very good, nice menu and selection, and again, the service was great. The breakfast was also very good, with a very warm and welcoming hostess, who stopped to chat and share information about the hotel, the area and some history.

Lovely Inn. We stayed here 16 years ago and wanted to bring our kids (14 and 11). It's just as lovely. Sorry we weren't able to have the room we had before in the main Inn as we stayed in the family room at the Plaine. Still nice though.

Size and layout of room excellent. Dinner was really good as was breakfast. We are vegetarian and both menus supported our needs really well. Service for both meals really good. We met our family for lunch, parking was ample, food and service again was excellent. One of our guests was Vegan and there were lots of plant based options on the menu. Because of the inclement weather we were able to stay on in a quiet bar and continue our family reunion and birthday celebrations.

Everything! Breakfast was excellent, dinner was also excellent. The service was absolutely brilliant, nothing was too much trouble for the staff, they looked after us , particularly the children! The rooms were properly quirky, as befits a building of this age and we really enjoyed staying there. There was nothing we didn't like
