As families grow in size, so too do the needs of a family holiday. That’s why family hotels are set up to cater for all ages, from toddlers and kids to teens and adults. Typically, you can expect restaurants with kids’ menus, games rooms, fitness centres and a pool area where children can play and parents can relax.
Impromptu stopover off on the way home from a weekend away at a family wedding, lovely Sunday lunch, room was clean, basic, comfortable & great value.
The staff that we met were all wonderful, an absolute credit to the wheatsheaf & by extension chef & brewer, they were all so friendly and helpful, we will definitely be back to visit this place again..
Great value family room in a quiet location convenient for a trip to Paulton’s Park the next day. We had dinner and breakfast, both delicious and good value. Staff were very friendly and helpful. This place was a find.
The staff were lovely. The room was roomy defo not pokey. And greeneKing friends and family is accepted in the restaurant and when booking the room direct with them. I'd recommend as an overnight stop off, we was travelling to Cornwall & Devon holiday. Thank you
Bar and Restaurant is beautiful decorated but when you get into the accommodation side it is very dated.
The housekeepers have done their best with the cleanliness but because it is so dated and needs painting, the cleanliness may not be obvious.
We stay here alot when we visit family, it is generally a nice place to stay but with just a lick of paint, could look so much nicer.
All that said, it has everything you need for a short stay, some more refreshments in the rooms would be appreciated though.
The whole experience was great. Some family joined us in the evening (they didn't like their hotel!) and we enjoyed a fabulous meal at the Wheatsheaf. So much so, that the next day, after a trip out, we returned to have our meal. The staff were all friendly and helpful, which is always a bonus to us when we're away.
Very convenient for visiting my family, the room was a great size. The wheatsheaf building is beautiful and cosy. The staff were really helpful and friendly!
We were having a family celebration meal so was nice to be able to just walk upstairs to bed afterwards. Breakfast very good and well looked after by waitress.
