The house was warm and very well presented. When we arrived there was a selection of home comforts which was a really nice touch, milk bread crisps biscuits cooking oil. What a great place, could not ask for anything else, Julian provides everything you could possibly need for your stay, do bring your own bed sheets and pillow slips though. The location is exceptional with toilets and showers on site, and a very short distance from the hut but also, far enough away! The kitchen is fully equipped and we made good use of the teapot. Plenty of torches everywhere and lanterns for the balcony, a BBQ, deck chairs, wind break, umbrella, amazing. Bring a push bike with big paniers if you have the room, for popping to the shops...no vehicles allowed on the Spit. The land train and ferry do not start up until the end of the month, FYI. Up on the mezzanine level are two double futons with feather pillows and quilts and a very comfy mattress. And the best view through the window as you awaken and the sound of the waves to fall asleep to. There are board games and beach buckets and spades for the kids, equipment for kayaking, fishing, body boards, a brolly..the list is surprisingly endless considering the size...it's like the tardis.
