As families grow in size, so too do the needs of a family holiday. That’s why family hotels are set up to cater for all ages, from toddlers and kids to teens and adults. Typically, you can expect restaurants with kids’ menus, games rooms, fitness centres and a pool area where children can play and parents can relax.
Beautifully presented and clean and very comfortable. Staff can't do enough to help. Gave advice on places to visit, local history and even lent us some binoculars. Caravan has everything you need including utensils and pots and pans etc. Games for children to play and a range of DVD's, even has cleaning materials and coffee and tea. We enjoyed lovely walks along lock Ryan which can be seen from the caravan. We also visited Portpatrick, Port Logan, Ayr and Castle Kennedy. Site has soft play for kids and a public house.
Loved this place everything you need for a little break . spotless clean very comfortable and great location plenty for kids to do swimming softplay and swing parks lovely onsite pub/restaurant with good food friendly staff would recommend to everyone and definitely will go back very relaxing and peaceful
The caravan was very comfortable and well-equipped and was a really good value alternative to staying in a hotel. The campsite facilities for children were absolutely brilliant with a huge indoor softplay and two outdoor playgrounds. We were too early in the season for the campsite pool but there is a great leisure pool nearby in Stranraer.
The van was absolutely amazing in a perfect location in the park. I was travelling with two Autistic children who both really enjoyed the spacious van and extra security of the closed decking area was fantastic. We visited the Duck or Grouse and were welcomed, lovely friendly staff. Would love to book again for later in the year but unfortunately can't book any more than two nights at a time.
The lighthouse experience was fantastic. The place is immersed in uncontaminated nature. The staff is really kind. The rooms are as described. The food is superb. I highly recommend it as an experience and as a structure.
Wonderful, warm, and cosy home, brilliant space, very clean. Only a 5 minute walk from a stunning beach full of gorgeous shells! Great for families, our 2 year old loved the facilities. We will definitely be back, very accommodating host.
Peacefulness, we’ll equipped, modern and fully functioning. Large dining table makes for rewarding family meals. Hosts were exceptional and they even provided fresh flowers and a breakfast basket to get us going! Couldn’t be happier.
We (5 adults and 4 children) stayed in lodge 1. The accommodation was spacious, tastefully decorated, warm, well-equipped and extremely comfortable. The views from every window in the house were spectacular. The host family were friendly and helpful, and they provided a very generous welcome pack. We look forward to visiting another time soon.
