We loved how close it was to the event we were going to at the Fenwick hotel. It gave us the privacy we wanted but also a wonderful experience getting to know the other lovely guests and the amazing hosts Jim and Debbie! Room was comfy and breakfast was delicious! We had a stroll down the pathway before breakfast to see the sheep and cows. Debbie even offered to iron my husband’s shirt before our event … and then realizing he was RAF let him do it himself and stayed for a chat. It honestly felt like family.

A 2000 acre country Estate in Hurlford, Carnell Country Estate offers accommodation 36 km from Glasgow. Free WiFi and free ample parking is available.

Each holiday home is furnished with antiques and artwork as well as a fully fitted kitchen. The bedrooms are set up with fine linens, hairdryers, bathrobes and bathrooms with fluffy towels and free toiletries.

The setting, historic estate, and gardens are magnificent and the hosts friendly and wonderful people. Adrienne and Micky went above and beyond to help us and to make our stay the best ever. Adrienne even helped us find other accommodations when our rental car had a flat tyre late at night hours away. Her kindness meant the world to us. Our flat at the estate was spacious, comfortable, and clean with a well-stocked kitchen and bathroom with many extra special touches. This is by far one of my favorite accommodations and experiences ever. Gardens you only dream of or see in films, surrounded by nature and tall trees and flowers, pheasants everywhere, Highland Cows, sheep, a beautiful, peaceful pond, a river and babbling brooks - the list goes on. I would live here if I could! Paradise. I look forward to bringing the rest of my family as soon as I can!

Moya the host was very helpful and could be contacted easily. There was thoughtful touches such as soft drinks wine tea and coffee, crisps and biscuits which were great if you arrive when the local shops are closed. Other bonus were the selection of books and games available to suit all ages.

This apartment was a real home from home. Everything you needed was provided. Great communication from the host. Was visiting family locally and didn't want to stay in a soulless hotel. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Did not use many of the facilities because we were out to a function away from the hotel. However, must mention breakfast which was superb. We left the hotel with an 8-hour drive and the breakfast saw us all the way home. Great value and very good food.

Location was perfect, right in centre of town and close to the park. Every single member of staff was friendly and very helpful. We had a twin room as it was the only one left so not ideal and would have preferred a double room. It was tired but very clean . There is a big family friendly beer garden where we ate some really tasty food and the prices of the food and drink is very reasonable. The bar and garden are busy all weekend.
